Minneapolis as a whole is far left of center. This is what the whole country will be like unless we vote the lefties out.
Manhattan was like that. Rudy cleaned it up.
Are they the local gang of scroungers and robbers ?
Sounds like DC is as dangerous as they say it is !
I live in South Mpls, and very rarely go north, I have not been north of Lake street in...well I can’t think of the last time I was downtown...(Bill Clinton was President?)
I like living in the city, lots of things (the little store, the greasy spoon...etc.) with in walking distince, but Downtown(?) no real reason to go there anymore.
Het Tex, all you have to do is carry a long sock with you. If you get any mither from these low - lives, grab a stone, something weighty lying around, drop it in the sock, tie the end, then take a mighty swing at the gobshite threatening you. I used this method in my soccer fan days and it does work.
Mind you guns are legal in TX aren’t they. What exactly is the legal position. Can you only have them in your home / carry them in your car/ walk down the street with one in your pocket ?
Wish we had your laws. A lot of folk round here keep 12 bores on the quiet.
I can carry a gun concealed in almost any place in the state. There are exceptions but concealed means concealed.
If you ever make it to Texas I can set up a shoot with friends where you could fire as many as 20 or so different weapons possibly including full auto.
They should be put back in the mental institutions. Most of those homeless people are usually schizophrenic, bipolar or Asperger’s and they have no ways of functioning in our society. Those are usually conditions that make it difficult for you from keeping any meaningful employment. It’s better that they’re in institutions or under family care than being on the streets.
I haven’t seen that one, but I haven’t been in the skyway since the boat show in January, and even then I just went from the parking ramp across from the Ivy tower to the convention center.
I finished school downtown about a year ago, this guy was usually over by Macy’s in the skyway near Andrea’s pizza.
Bus ‘em all to San Francisco, they love beggars there.
You vote for lefties, you get beggars.
WOW no druggie break ins in your street then.
My Dad’s brother used to tell me all about Pasadena when he went to live in Texas in 1966. Him and my other uncle were engineers in the RAF - until 1962 you had to do 2 years military service. Afterwards they decided to go to Canada as they both had some kind of engineering qualification. My Uncle Tony stayed in Canada, where he still lives, but my Uncle Brian crossed the border and got a job as a draughtsman with the local gas company in Buffalo. They must have been impressed with him as they promoted him to Project Manager in Pasadena. Unfortunately I only got the chance to visit him after he moved to Franklin VA.
He is 74 now and retired. Unfortunately he moved back here because of the health insurance, He likes a drink or ten and I often make the 30 minute drive to the coastal village where he lives now. He sometimes comes to our local pub with his photos of his time in that far off land.
He says you don’t give the Spikes lip in Texas or they cuff you , beat you and book you !
You can color me in that camp. The Minnesota I grew up in is gone.
LOL!
Are you referring to the guy who plays guitar in the skyway between Macy’s and Andrea Pizza?
I think I know who you’re talking about.
Yep. A few years ago I took my wife and kids to San Francisco because my daughter really wanted to see a play (I know, I know). As we were leaving the theater some bum started harassing us for money. When I made it clear that we weren’t going to give him any, he went into a rage and started threatening and cursing us...in front of young children.
I pulled the stun gun from my wifes purse, hit the dumbass square in the chest with it, and he went down like a sack of bricks. The kids cheered.
Homeless people don’t bother me, as long as they’re behaving themselves. Once they cross the line into harassment, intimidation, and property destruction, my sympathy and compassion goes right out the window.
I saw an old woman beggar while I was in Chicago in 1964. She got very mad at me when I refused to give her any money so I watched her for a while. She finally went to an almost new Cadillac and drove away.
Too funny! I’m sorry....but I don’t have sympathy for anyone standing on a street begging. There’s no need to. In any community ...ANYWHERE...there are churches, food banks and social programs galore. If in doubt.. pop in to any local church. They usually know all the hot spots to get food and shelter.
This is what you get in an ALL DEMOCRAT CITY!
