I wonder who pays for the freebies? Surly it’s not going to be the Mexican government, now is it?
To go to a crowd of illegals and tell them to lobby for AMNESTY is despicable of the worst kind. For a US President to do this is well, you are just going to have to use your imagination.
Bush is making Clinton look like an honest man. Is Bush still sane, with behavior like this, one has to ask if he is fit for office.

We spill precious blood overseas to keep our country safe and at same time welcome any and all to invade us thru open borders.
One word comes to mind............clusterfu*k.

and it makes sense to have people from around the country come and sit down with members of Congress to talk rationally about the issue," he told those attending the Hispanic Prayer Breakfast in Washington yesterday. IOW, those in favor of amnesty are rational and those against are not. More insults from El Presidente. 70% of the American public is irrational.

President Bush urges Hispanics to “speak up.” I urge them to go home.

"Bush Urges Hispanics To Speak Up"
Whose side is this guy on? I voted for him TWO TIMES and all he wants to do is sell me, my family and America down the river to Mexico, South America and Hispanics.
The politicians in DC just voted AGAINST building the fence they already voted to build and that they have the money for. Don't believe any of them regarding their worthless promises regarding "Border Security" ESPECIALLY the president... they are liars!

“President Bush yesterday told Hispanics to step into the middle of the immigration debate...”
Why is everyone so upset? He’s just being loyal to his base.

:::sigh::: Bush has done some good things during his Presidency, but he has thrown so much of his credibility behind this stupid bill, it's going to end up overshadowing everything else.
We gotta keep calling and sending a message to our Congress critters - WE DON'T WANT THIS 'IMMIGRATION' BILL!!!!!

"When the bill returns to the Senate floor, I plan to add $4.4 billion in guaranteed funding -- to be funded by the fees and penalties established by the bill's new programs -- to strengthen border security and speed other important elements of comprehensive reform," Mr. Reid said.Another lie in a mountain of lies - even this piddling $4.4 billion is NOT dedicated solely to border security -- will anyone be surprised when some of this finds its way into the pockets of La Raza and other "community organizations" under the bill?

"President Bush yesterday told Hispanics to step into the middle of the immigration debate and make sure senators who have been bombarded with calls from opponents also hear from those who support the bill."
Nice, real nice. Pres. Bush tells illegal aliens to "appeal to U.S. Senators" so that the loud voices of American Citizens, get drowned out.
Unfortunately, most Senators "no comprendo Espanole, gringo."

Bush has proved to be, as I have said for months, the WORST kind of Republican, a shape-shifter who sees the best way to keep his failed Iraq policy funded until it has to be discarded, is to Out-Lib the Libs on the OTHER big issue facing us, and in playing “Leader” on that one, he is probably able to go farther and be more relentless in his pursuit of it than any elected Democrat/Liberal. Chalk up another tragic result for the “either/or” game of American politics.
