Jesse couldn*t be there because he was in jail in Chicago. LOL!
It is pretty simple...
Illegal is the new legal....
And if you were born here, you are free to leave.
I’ve been tracking that too. San Bernardino Sun has a story on it. Five fatalities. I’m a CHP junkie, haha.
I'd love to see their take on this!
And shouldn't that be "American-Mexican" News, or "Spanish Speaking" News ?
Unless it's being piped in straight from Mexico!
That just p*ss*s me off!
What in the world is going on?!!!
” It’s an out-and-out double standard, civil rights violation against legal residents and citizens of the US”
Yes exactly I said my first odd comment and should have added /s
I’m appalled and shocked at the atitude of the people that Ted may have helped...and is still trying to help...
Ted is a hero and a great American..That a man of integrity and guts like him should be treated so is shameful..
and they wonder why we are speaking up and objecting to giving AMNESTY to 25,000 000 illegal aliens who dont care about our country or our people. or our rights under the COTUS..
messed up..exploding church van
Thank you for sticking up for America...
Ted Hayes is not a leftist.Ditto that!He is one of the good guys.
Here is a SHORT EXCERPT from www.opinionjournal.com:
CROSS COUNTRY
Rasta Republican
Meet Los Angeles's Ted Hayes. He's black, dreadlocked--and belongs to the GOP.
BY JILL STEWART
Thursday, April 28, 2005 12:01 a.m.
LOS ANGELES--Condoleezza Rice and Ward Connerly once epitomized black Republicans in California. But their ilk now also includes Ted Hayes, a social activist and inner-city coach whose billowing robes and dreadlocks don't exactly conjure up an image of the GOP.
More blacks than ever support vouchers and faith-based initiatives, and side with President Bush on gay marriage. Mr. Hayes recently made the transition himself, ending a long journey for this former leftist who founded Dome Village, an outcropping of pod-like homeless shelters along the freeway in downtown Los Angeles.
There are other prominent black Republicans in California, of course, such as syndicated radio host Larry Elder and community relations expert Joe Hicks. But even among these unusual thinkers, Mr. Hayes stands out. He's an intense critic of L.A.'s powerful "black old guard"--Democratic politicians, charity bosses and inner-city preachers who, for a generation, have responded to poverty and illiteracy by demanding government programs and blaming white racism.
Not surprisingly, plenty of people wish pesky black Republicans like Mr. Hayes would just slink away. He has skewered L.A.'s entrenched black leaders as "Negro officials," and he has the street cred to get away with it. As L.A. endured another crisis between black leaders and cops recently, he refused to denounce police for shooting dead a 13-year-old, Devin Brown, after a car chase. Instead, Mr. Hayes's press release faulted black church leaders who, despite their great power, rarely point to the lack of parental responsibility...-- snip --

The Fiscal Cost of Low-Skill Immigrants to the U.S. Taxpayer
Take the Pledge: "I pledge to never, ever vote for anyone, for any office, who votes in favor of the Mexican Invasion Surrender Bill."
Model letter to your Senator:
To: Your Senator
From: A concerned citizen and constituent
Subject: Urge that you oppose S.1639--vote no on cloture
I urge that you vote no on S.1639 (Immigration Reform,) and vote no on cloture.
Reasons:
1) Granting any form of legal residency to those who illegally crossed our borders is drastically unfair to all those in the wider world who cannot so easily get the same deal for themselves, because they happen to be geographically disadvantaged relative to most of the illegal immigrants who come here. What about those from Asia, Africa and Europe? Should not legal residency in the US be fairly rationed among all the world's peoples?
2) To reward illegal immigrants with the very thing they were trying to achieve when they broke the law is unconscionable: It encourages law breaking in general, and yet more illegal immigration in particular. Criminals must never be granted that which they were seeking when they broke the law--in this case, any form of legal residency in the United States.
3) S. 1639 would have the effect of creating a peasant class of cheap laborers. Although not as bad as our failed experiment with slavery that ultimately ended in a civil war, the moral argument against it is analogous.
4) "Guest worker" programs of the form proposed by S. 1639 are nothing more than an attempt by business to avoid having to pay a living wage to legal US residents.
5) Eisenhower solved the problem much more simply, and for far less money. His solution also exposed the extent to which the problem is corruption in our government, and among our businesspeople. [Reference: http://www.csmonitor.com/2006/0706/p09s01-coop.html]
6) Illegal immigrants are a net financial drain on our economy. The benefits of cheap labor (and cheap food prices) are more than offset by the increased costs for social services and infrastructure. [Reference: http://www.heritage.org/Research/Immigration/sr14.cfm]
7) Current law is not the problem. The problem is lack of enforcement. If the current law cannot be enforced, why would things be any different under S. 1639?
"Both sides were yelling at each other"
So because of "safety" the police "canceled" the permit
and arrested Ted Hayes and 5 others!!
What kind of police-state craziness is that!
“Jesse couldn*t be there because he was in jail in Chicago”
Thats no excuse...
:)
Officers, some in riot gear, some in shorts and on bicycles, lined the usually-busy boulevard street. At 3:50 p.m., LAPD officials declared the anti- immigrant rally to be an illegal assemble, as its parade permit had expired, and a short time later arrested activist anti-immigration activist Ted Hayes...No bias here! / sarcasm
That obviously SHOULD HAVE BEEN:
...anti-ILLEGAL-immigration activist Ted Hayes...
It is Special Order 40....illegals cant be busted for anything in Los Angeles....and we already know how well they follow disperse orders.
BUMP to the Top!
Thanks for posting that story about Ted Hayes from The Wall Street Journal, RonDog!
Great, thanks Ladycalif. I heard it on KFI, heard it on KABC-TV News and on KABC Channel 7's site, I found this article.
Is Ted Hayes going to stay in jail tonight or has someone bailed him out yet?
Pics up
They were going to release him without bail.
