Plus, with y’all, I always have to ask: did you actually go to school there, or are you just another of the t-shirt fan crowd?

Nope, didn't attend .. but my son is an '03 grad so, based on the amount of $$ I've sent them, I'm entitled cheer.

Re: "73-35-5"

How many of those wins were against A&M teams depleted due to military service?

I’m not sure that UT really had a leg to stand on here. Parody is protected speech even when copyright (or presumably trademarked) materials are involved.

Let's see, during the first World War I'll give you '17 and '18

so that's 2 during that war

during WWII

aggy was ranked # 2 in '41 and lost
aggy was ranked #16 in '43 and lost

so that's '42, '44, and '45 during the years of that war

Korea .. you lost in '52 and '53

That's 7 total where aggy teams may have been "depleted" ... so, to answer your question .... 66 came against aggy teams that just lost to a better team.

I'm OK with that

How many scholarships did D.K.R. hand out like Halloween candy scooping up all that talent (in the days before the NCAA rightly mandated a max. number of scholarships)?

As many as he could to as many as would take them ... same rules aggy coaches had going at the time.

Bear Bryant, Hank Foldberg, Gene Stallings and Emory Bellard probably didn't hand out quite as many over the same period ... not as many kids wanted them.

Re: "... not as many kids wanted them"

Mandatory ROTC requirement may have nixed some of those folks from venturing to Aggieland.

You better be going to the game on T+1. I cannot make it this year... actually I haven't made a tu vs TAMU game since the Bonfire collapse.

Your thoughts on Tommy Tuberville as a possibility of becomming aTm's new coach? In my opinion... would be light years ahead of what we've got now.
