The sad thing is they will be labeled as anti-gay. Then there will be a counter suit by the ACLU.

I am not sexist or homophobic but anytime you place a female lesbian in charge of something you are only doing it to please a small minority of the public. I bet she does not have near the experiance to run a fire department compared to men I will bet my next paycheck on it.
She is only in that position as a PC puppet for the left.

How were they forced? Did administration put guns to their heads? Were they tied up and mounted on fire trucks? It seems to me they could have refused. If they got disciplined or fired from their jobs because of this unconscionable order, then I would think they would have a more compelling case. It seems to me they want their retirement benefits more than their self respect.

Read some of the previous threads. They would have been disciplined, and one of the firefighters said he would have to wait two years to take the captain’s exam if he had a disciplinary action on his record. They made their wishes very clear and didn’t comply until it became a direct order to them, specifically.

Here's what I sent the list of jerks, sifted from the great collection of email addresses, with thanks for the poster:

Are you collectively totally nuts? I have loved San Diego for almost all of my life, having been born in CA in 1943. My Dad served in the Navy there. I served in the Peace Corps at UCSD in 1966. My best friend in College was from Ponte Loma and a total heterosexual kind of surfer guy. He liked girls, Duh, like me!

Please free the fire fighters from their unwanted chains. What a total load of crap. Don't forget: "Don't ask / don't tell" works both ways!

Have you all totally lost it? Comments welcomed!

Oh, to be proactive. I'm sure there will be more to come. California must be crazy, being a native, that really rubs me the wrong way.

I'd like to see San Diego taken to the cleaners.

The same thing happened in Mn. Not the parade the appointment of a lesbian chief. She was finally fired and paid off. She used her power like Clinton did on women.

Reminds me of the classic Onion article “Gay-Pride Parade Sets Mainstream Acceptance Of Gays Back 50 Years.”

There's a new classic on this week's front page: Small Town Holds Annual Gay Shame Parade, with a picture of the "second-place float" called "No Son Of Ours".

LOL!

“Sounds to me like she GAVE the order as one of those hard-to-misinterpret suggestions.”

But it seems like that quote was very easy for you to misinterpret.

“encouraging” or “suggesting” are simply NOT a direct order, which is what the firemen were given.

According to the Firemen’s complaint -
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/images/070806firefighters.pdf

The responsibility for the direct order tracks back to a “Chief Carle”.

If it stops there he should be called to account for it -

IF it tracks back to Jarman herself, since she has refered it to investigation rather then ‘fessing up to it and dealing with the consequences head on, she should be fired.

I don’t know what fire department you are in RS but in the department I was in for 25 years you ignored encouragement or suggestions from the Fire Chief at your peril. The only thing she’s done with the weasel words is allow herself some plausible deniability in the eyes of the law and RS.

If you took the time to read the links, you would have found out that they did in fact have the guts to refuse UNITLL they were specifically given a direct order to attend the parade.

I’n sure things were different in your day.

If you took the time to read the links

I took the time to read all the links Sweetcheeks.

Quoting directly from the complaint "I asked the Chief (this officer clearly being Chief Pollard) if he was giving me and my crew a direct order to attend this parade and he said “yes”. He was given a direct order from Chief Carle via chain of command (it’s not clear the direction of this chain of command order - did the order originate with Carle or higher in the chain of command? I don't definitively know the answer to that and neither do you. But the buck stops on Jarman's desk regardless.) that engine 5 and the on duty crew was to participate in the parade.

It's pretty obvious to me that you're putting your own spin on the evidence for reasons that are yours.

Fire Chief, Tracy Jarman, an open lesbian,

The fire chief just couldn't stand to let it get out that...
...she couldn't find any ready volunteers for the parade.

At least that's what it sounded like (to me) after hearing one of
the coerced fireman on TV last week.

That was the now former fire chief of Moonbatapolis. She threatedned women in the Minneapolis Fire Department (including EMT and paramedics) that if they were not lesbians, they had better start acting like ones in order to keep their jobs. She also used the fire department to find “girlfriends” within the ranks. And that started the EEOC lawsuits.
Last I heard she is still in the Minneapolis fire department, but not in any supervisory capacity. Typical spineless Moonbatapolis!

Oh sorry, I was "encouraged" to call you names by a person above me in the chain of command.

Boo Hoo. Somebody blew some kisses and hit on some weakkneed little firefighters.

This is what's wrong with all the sexual harassment crap. If this is the worst thing to happen to these guys in their careers they're lucky. The policy has been changed move on. Do you really think this chief or any other one will order anybody to march in this idiot parade again. Of course not.

More taxpayer money to as$h%^$ lawyers.
