How long until the Mormon Romney operatives take over this thread to equate everything not pro-Mormonism as attacking Mormons, the individuals.

Yup; it didn't take long for you MORMON-HATING BIGOTS to spoil Our Man Mitt's celebration!

The strategy for the past months has been to turn every Romney thread into exchanges over Mormonsim and then accuse any opposed to Mormonism of attacking Mormons, thus by inference discussions not fully positive regarding Mormonism will be taboo because they attack Mormons and thus Romney’s Mormonism is off limits.

Uh, that's not the way I see it, and I'm neither a Romney supporter, nor a Mormon. I've seen anti-Mormons get on every topic related to Mitt Romney, and stick some "well, I wouldn't vote for anyone who believed in that nonsense," sort of comment in there. Then, the LDS FReepers get sucked in to defending their right to their faith, and the original topic is long forgotten.

You've been one of the people who is good at that, you're the first one to directly mention Romney's religion on this thread. I've seen our LDS FReepers debate intelligently on the merits of a topic that has to do with any liberalism or flip-flops by Mitt, and they've done a remarkable job (whether you buy their arguments or not) until they simply cannot take having their religion bashed any more.

Despite all of the nonsense out here concerning Romney’s term as Governor here, THIS issue is the one that should prevent him from achieving an election nomination in the primaries next year.

It is a complete screw job for independent business owners, and it will certainly bankrupt a bunch of republican sympathizers in this state.

TC,
I realize Heritage pushed this idea together with
Mitt - and yet Mitt didn’t have the sense to realize
the debacle it would become...

... or he is in favor of debacles as a rhino?

I don’t care which. Either way, it stands on the
side of failure in his role as a Republican Governor.

There is another insidious side to MittCare in MA that every
pro-life voter should know about...

Take a read of this... a Statement of the Massachusetts Pro-Life group and other allied groups who oppose the expansion of government paid abortions under ROMNEYCARE!
Yes, Mr. “I am now Pro-life” is forcing taxpayers in
Massachusetts to FUND abortions on a wider basis than
when he took office. Notice it says, “MAJOR EXPANSION of TAXPAYER FUNDED ABORTION.”

“The signing of the RomneyCare bill one year ago marks the first anniversary of a major expansion of taxpayer-funded abortion in Massachusetts. We hereby call on Mitt Romney to call for the complete repeal of his health care plan until it stops funding abortions with taxpayer dollars. It is intellectually dishonest for a politician to claim to be pro-life yet sign a bill into law that funds the killing of innocent children. We are in the process of filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to demand release of exactly how many taxpayer-funded abortions have occurred as a result of RomneyCare. We call on all Presidential candidates to take an official position on the RomneyCare bill and call for its repeal until tax-funded abortions are stopped.”

The statement was signed by:

Jerry Zandstra, President
Pro-Life Federation
jerry@jerryzandstra.com

Judie Brown, President, American Life League, Virginia

David Brownlow, Executive Director, Life Support, Oregon

Suzanne Brownlow, Communications Director, Life Support, Oregon

Brian Camenker, MassResistance, Massachusetts

Larry Cirignano, Catholic Activist

Cynthia Dudek, Executive Director, Parental Rights Coalition, Michigan

MITT IS AN UNPRINCIPLED RHINO. How do any mittbots square
his words with his actions???

Who says healthcare is good for you. I try to stay out of the Doctor’s office. That’s where you go if you want to get sick.

Now, if I break my leg, cut a gash in my hand, get cancer, liver failure or something else catastrophic, I WILL go to the doctor then, - - but all these office visits for sniffles and splinters?

And now you want ME to pay for them? I want my government to stay OUT of the healthcare business. Insurance companies have done enough to screw it up.

When thinking of Hillarycare, I have much trepidation. If our nation decides that they MUST offer us healthcare coverage, the weight of it will break the back of our economy.

Before this happens we should really study Canada and Britain, and see what the future will behold if we do have national healthcare.

I know that in Canada, it is illegal to have private insurance coverage. And the waiting lists are astronomical... people waiting over a year for bypass surgery. The waiting lists are so long that doctors don’t even bother to do all of the diagnostic tests. Their reasoning is if they do, they will just be adding another person to the list. One major hospital in Canada only does twelve bypass surgeries a year!

I take this issue personally, because I have a life-long illness. You KNOW that the government will eventually have to put limits on healthcare coverage. Which ailments are they going to strike off of the list? In England they have been known to discriminate against the elderly. Their reasoning is that the elderly aren’t as needy as a younger person. Do you want the government playing God and determining if your value as a person is worth coverage?

That is a damn huge slippery slope, if I have ever seen one.

I feel it's too late for that!!

BOTH D's and R's are falling all over themselves to get us to full socialism as fast as possible!
