This woman cannot be trusted to run a vacuum cleaner much less the United States.

She doesn't run a vacuum cleaner. She rides a broom.

If they refuse to give out the discounted rate, could the IRS make a case as this being essentially a GIFT of several 10’s of thousands of dollars to MOVEON.org and nail them on the GIFT tax?

"Hopefully the Times loses money at that rate."

The truth in the newspaper business is once you have made your profit point and minimum pages and advertising, it costs next to nothing to add pages. Those extra discounted bucks are pure profit.

I hope ALL the GOPers demand the same rate - even RuPaul!

I cannot stomach Hillary Clinton’s voice. When it’s not carefully scripted it rises to a screechy hectoring nastiness that makes my testicles recede into my throat and makes my mouth taste like aluminum.

Ya know what? I agree! He also appears to be acting bravely to disclose the truth about the most difficult issues. That says to me he cares about America first whether he wins or not. Now I probably would vote for Rudy but I must say I Duncan or Fred is a step above as fully rounded candidates. However, if Rudy won I would also feel safe at night knowing he’ll keep attacking the enemy.

I agree. Regardless of where I think Giuliani’s political future lies, this is a GREAT angle and a win-win for him. In fact, I think there should be a push by several candidates to demand that rate...

You can always count on the far left lunatic fringe to screw up if you give em enough rope.

Whats interesting is how badly the dem primary candidates have handled this one.

I hope this stirs the pot a little. I have over the last few years written to several who seemed to be concerned about this war we are involved in, trying to defeat terrorism. I have been unable to generate a response from any I have written to. I guess they think I’m too radical.
I see no justification for a moderate Muslim we keep hearing about. It is not the people, it’s the vehicle they have attached themselves to. Islam in it’s truest form gives no room for so called moderate Muslims. We can never begin to separate Muslims into camps as a part of The Irreconcilable Wing of Islam and the Moderate Wing of Islam since they are one and the same and both are attached to the same vehicle.
Islam at it’s core is Irreconcilable.
Islam at it’s root is Irreconcilable.
Islam at it’s best is Irreconcilable.
Islam is Irreconcilable.
We must come to understand and accept that any person who gives forth claim to being a Muslim has bowed to Islam and it’s creed. They cannot proclaim to be a Muslim and then be a moderate anything. This person has become an Irreconcilable part of Irreconcilable Islam.
The only way to defeat this Irreconcilable Evil is by dismantling the vehicle. As long as we continue trying to defend Islam by separating the so called moderates from the Irreconcilable we are going to experience defeat after defeat. The so called Moderate of today is the Irreconcilable of tomorrow and the Irreconcilable of today is the so called Moderate of tomorrow. They morph to meet the need and demands of the time.
Let me give you an example of our folly. Here we are in Iraq working to implement democracy. We have basically 3 groups to work with, who through their own interpretations of Islam are at total odds with each other. They can never submit to the leadership of anyone in any of the other groups. This one thing they do all have in common .. Islam does not allow for any kind of representative government. Anyone who thinks for a minute that we had even a spark of victory with the elections in Iraq needs to do a complete rethink. These elections were born out of a weak position of Islam and true to their colors they lied and deceived to appease until they are strong enough once again to put this aside. This is not about “free” elections, or constituting a government it’s about a power struggle among themselves.
This Islamic people will always be governing by the Saddam Hussein’s. They have no choice. Saddam was not in trouble with “his” own people. He had it well under control. Saddam got into trouble with us and we demanded change. It’s a fine change we have brought about. I’m not saying we were wrong in taking out Saddam Hussein, but that we did it the wrong way and without any real understanding as to what we were accomplishing. One of the most fundamental elements of war is to know and understand your enemy. It is very apparent we entered into this undertaking without knowing our enemy and still we do not have a clue as to who we are opposing.
Until we have the guts to call a spade a spade, and get about the business of dismantling the vehicle of Islam we can expect and need to plan on this so called war to continue without any light at the end of the tunnel. Make no mistake. As long as they can keep us straining at gnats they will make us swallow the camel.
