Paul isn't weak on border policy either. See here.

Snip from the link

The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. This is my six point plan:

Glad you love Dr Paul, that does NOT qualify him to be President of the USA.

He's doing the GOP a favor, Johnnie. Try getting out of the FR cocoon sometime and get out in the real world. People are sick of big gov't, big taxes, rights taken away from us, and fighting a half-assed war that should have been declared on 09/12/2001 and our military commencing to ass-kicking thereafter.

You are indeed a tool with all the intelligence of decayed garbage disposal remains.

As far as his $5 million, I’m surprised Democrats haven’t provided more to have him ranting in the debates and more vocal in commercials.

Virtually all of Paul's money came from individual contributions averaging $40.

We can only hope Paul goes 3rd Party, and draws the moonbats and anti-war pinko’s to his side, bleeding the votes from the Hildabeast.
If he does this, and at the same time declares he wants to legalize drugs, he'll draw off half her base.

Ron Paul on other controversial issues:

On energy and the environment:

“Look, we don’t need the EPA, that is just one more federal boondoggle that needs to be disbanded. Let the marketplace work, hey - I’m all for putting lead BACK into gasoline, and since the Chinese are going to be shipping lead to us anyway, handled properly that could be a win-win situation!”

On the Internet:

“The internet may be the most useful high-technology tool ever invented by America, but we honestly don’t need it - as President, I will seek the deactivation of the Internet, and the re-establishment of Western Union Telegraph Services, if Americans want to send information electronically, we can do that right here at home without transferring data packets through who-knows-how-many foreign ports, gateways, double-throw switches or whatever it is the Internet uses, ok?”

On the worth of the dollar, and taxes:

“I have the greatest respect and faith in the people of Dollars, Taxes, and the folks over in Ft. Worth are pretty nice too”

[parody, not to be considered as actual quotes from Ron Paul]

Paul has little name recognition outside of people who are very politically active or at least read 100% of all political articles in their local paper.

Are you kidding. Paul has people who NEVER GAVE A CRAP about politics before registering in droves to vote for him. All of his rallies are packed and his website has a real-time tracking of donations that pour in.

My support of Dr. Paul is based upon the fact that he's bringing in libertarian, swing, and independent voters back into the GOP. He is doing the GOP a favor, these folks are far less likely to vote 3rd party or stay home than if Paul hadn't decided to run for President. If he's not the nominee and if someone like Fred is nominated, these folks are going to vote for the GOP nominee because of Paul's insistence of pushing the GOP back to its traditional. I don't like Paul's Iraq stand, it is frustrating, but the very fact remains is that he'll be a better Commander than the Democrats and he at least will secure the borders and keep the military strong. Right now Paul is easily the best candidate in the race who has a powerhouse coalition of people supporting him. A Paul vs Hillary matchup would be more lopsided than the Globetrotters playing that one team they always play.

What % name recognition would you give Paul in America right now? I’d give him at best 30% (vs say 95% for Hillary or Rudy).

You going to asked the question over and over again since NONE of you ever answer it.

Because it's a loaded and irrelevant question in the form of spam, even not responding to it is giving it way too much attention it deserves.

Pat B, R Perot and others have helped Democrats by drawing votes in Presidential elections.

I am glad Paul will bow out.
He’s embarrassing IMO.

Maybe the story should read like this:

GOP candidate Paul calls for elimination of income tax, central bank, National Defense, War on Terror. Calls for Unconditional Surrender and American Dhimmitude!

What % name recognition would you give Paul in America right now?

I would rank Paul right up there with the likes of Thompson and Rudy as well.

Would be nice, but just isn’t so. If you have a County Fair near you soon or visit a movie theatre or anything like that— just go ask 20/50/100 completely random people if they are familiar with Hillary, Rudy, Thompson, and Ron Paul. If you actually get over 50% recognition for Ron Paul I’d be shocked and my faith in the electorate would actually be greatly improved.

Rep. Ron Paul admitted in today’s debate that he would not support the Republican nominee (so did Tom Tancredo.)

You guys bash Paul but then expect him to grovel and be a team player and kiss GOP booty. O---kay.

He therefore is not a Republican, rather a Libertarian in guise of a Republican candidate.

But the RINOs like Specter, Collins, and Lincoln Chafee (who didn't vote for Bush in 2004), that's OK though if they don't support the GOP nominee, right? Besides, isn't it better that Paul is a Republican running in the Republican primaries than as a Libertarian who'll throw the election to Hillary?

I’m seriously considering proposing that our local county Executive Committee direct our Chairman to leave Paul’s name off of the Primary ballot (in both the Presidential and Congressional race), as he has just publicly refused to support the eventual Party nominee.

You go right ahead and do so!

I’m glad he’s not like some of the open border “Reason” libertarians. But I am a conservative and not a libertarian because I don’t believe in a one dimensional view of the world.

If the GOP would have stuck to its traditional conservative principles and declared and fought a war as a war should, Paul wouldn't be running.

Seriously, you really can't blame Paul for running. The GOP had the gov't in the palm of their hands and blew it with LBJ-like spending and letting the Dems smear our soldiers.

Paul has spoken like most of the Democrats and today he said he would not support the eventual Republican if he was not in line with Paul’s own thinking.

To me he is a useless fool!

Conservatives have traditionally supported a much more narrow scope of the use of our military than liberals. Bush himself campaigned this way in the 2000 debates. It’s only been since Iraq that this has changed. I don’t think most libertarians are in favor of open borders or for things like abortion (and all should oppose Roe vs Wade irregardless). The LP is in favor of that but I think most libertarians are simply in the Republican Party like myself.
