not bad coming from the palm beach post...

Except that

disagreed with him that the Iraq War was justified and is going splendidly - recently called U.S. active-duty personnel who oppose the war "phony soldiers."

is a bald faced LIE. Rush referred to people who LIE about being in Iraq or being in uniform as phony soldiers.

They are perpetuating a lie, and they know it.

Great statesmen, heroes and patriots have graced the U.S. Senate during the history of our Republic. Then there's Harry Reid.......

There was a crooked man
Who wrote a crooked letter
Against a great American
Who was and is his better
He is a crooked 'Rat
Squeaks like a crooked mouse
He crookedly debases
Our honored Senate house

Mr. Limbaugh, who on his Palm Beach-based radio show regularly slams anyone whom he believes to be unpatriotic - that would be anyone who disagrees with him that the Iraq War was justified and is going splendidly - recently called U.S. active-duty personnel who oppose the war "phony soldiers."

A lie...he called a specific solder who lied about his service record, and who lied about American atrocities, and who was against the war a "phony soldier".

Whether he meant all such critics or just one is a tedious, unresolvable and ultimately pointless debate.

Which means this reporter knows it's a lie, and need a way to escape having to deal with the facts.

It reminds me of a professor I had in college; if he was caught wrong or didn't know the answer to a question, he would reply "That's outside the scope of this lecture."

What was really funny earlier this week was Dingy telling Pelosi how the Senate works. As if he was teaching an unwilling-to-learn student.

It's fun watching them eat their own.

RULES OF JOURNALISM:

1. When you've lost a peeing contest...

Don't forget to repeat the lie.

And...

2. Having stepped in it...

Try to shake it off your boot.

Whether he meant all such critics or just one is a tedious, unresolvable and ultimately pointless debate.

They managed to maintain the lie, however, in claiming that Limbaugh was calling active duty military ‘phony soldiers’. No mention of the actual lying bastard that claimed he was an Iraqi war vet when he wasn’t.

Jessie would give him a big shout-out, except that he's been sent on secret "Project Geneocide" deployment back to Iraq with the 123rd Baby-Impalers.

Hubbard was a vet, but not a vet in Viet Nam as he had claimed. he originally claimed to be an officer but got dimed out quickly on that one.

Here are some Kerry-Phony Soldier links.

Bzzzzzt. that, is why they have no foundation or basis for their indignation, there basic permise is incorrect.

Remember this one? Remember the stampede to get away from it? It died a quick and quiet death...

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." -- John Kerry, Oct 30, 2006, Speaking to a group of students at Pasadena City College

Why is this such a favorite tactic of the Left?

Because it's all they've got: twisting other people's words or interpreting ambiguous statements in the worst possible light.

The other word for it is "desperation" and with the goal of creating "news", ... made to order for hysterical, insecure, ignorant, sheeplike masses, a/k/a “the American people.”

He’s done that several times, actually. He and Pelosi have emabarassed themselves to the point of 11% approval ratings, and it seems that every time they try to do something they wind up screwing things up and making things worse for themselves. The plus side about having incompetent morons run your Congress is that it hightlights to the public just how pathetic the Democrat party really is, and could likely sway the election results of 2008 away from the Dems.

I think if they really tried, the dems could push those numbers into the single didgets. Go ahead dems, try, I dare you!

In a battle of wits with RL, Harry Reid came unarmed.

Extremely hard to set your sights on a target when you have your head up your ass.

Anyone who hears or reads Mr. Limbaugh's comments in context

"Context? We don't need no steenkin' context!"
