There’s been talk about him either joining or taking over for John Gambling. After all, the only reason John’s there is because ABC wanted to keep the 82 year streak of having a “John Gambling” on air in New York alive.

Couldn’t stand Kuby either but too bad about Curtis. He’s a good guy.

Curtis is a good man, but his politics are downright authoritarian liberal, worse than Giuliani, and his voice annoys the hell out of me. Kuby's a good guy too, but he's a downright Marxist. As far as Imus, I can't understand 90% of what the guy's saying, and I don't get his brand of humor at all. Guess I'll be sticking with O&A for the time being.

Does this guy even get ratings??? (I guess he does, but really who listens to his show??)

I have a very broad range of acquaintances and I honestly can not name one of them who listens to Imus.

I actually kinda enjoy Gambling. Granted, he kisses Bloomberg's a$$ every Friday, but other than that, he comes up with interesting topics.

Not that I would blame Kuby for not wanting to be around until Imus comes in, I can't believe they just fired him like that.

Frankly, most mornings, Kuby was more entertaining than Curtis is. And he actually does have the ability (not that he uses it often -- to give a detailed and balanced explanation of an issue (usually one that's legal in nature and Curtis is more totally clueless than usual).

I've heard Curtis with other co-hosts. These two worked well together. (Anyone remember the wacko woman from Ch 5 news before she moved to Ch. 2. I used to make fun of her name and her voice.)

By the way, I might listen to the top of the hour national news, but other than that, I’ll be listening to Scott & Todd on PLJ or I’ll flip to the oldies on CBS because I seemed to have slipped into their demographics.

Kuby “Our audience has the best, kindest, most decent”-”the new owners doesn’t want that”. Jerk.
Kuby was nothing but a hate monger, communist I am so happy Kuby is gone.

That and they didn't have a mid-morning host worth listening to. And it was so shocking when he was let go, it was a ratings coup to grab him and snag some listeners.

Unfortunately, even though WOR didn't want Gambling anymore, they wouldn't give up the "Rambing with Gambling" name.

Ho-Lee Cow!

Well, I for one will miss the Curtis and Kuby show. I really enjoyed to two of them together — talk about Mutt and Jeff. Their antics made me laugh out loud more than once.

If C&K are lurking out there....good job, guys.

Regards,

Lynn Samuels?

Kuby, despite being an extreme lefist, was intelligent and entertaining to listen to. I don't think Curtis will do well without him.

Curtis is Mr Rely On Guy on WABC. Just like Steve Malzberg was when he was on WABC. Call in for the last minute when host doesn’t show. Curtis will stay on WABC plus I have noticed he is really into expanding his saving cities thing.

Sharpton said Thursday that Citadel needs to meet with advertisers and black groups

I wonder if he is going to be asked to meet with some White groups?

Oh sorry, I forgot that White people cannot have groups.

I wasn’t a big Imus fan but he did call Hillary a “bucktoothed crook,” Jimmy Carter a “pansy,” and Dan Rather a “psychopath.”

When Imus was fired Howie Carr commented on how all Imus’ liberal guests deserted him:

“Think about that unctuous NBC rumpswab David Gregory. Wednesday night, he went on MSNBC looking like his dog just got run over. But by yesterday morning, Gregory was back on top of his game. He apologized to Jesse Jackson for ever having gone on the Imus show.”

Curtis subs for Sean sometimes and does a very good show alone.
