She also faced controversy when, in a 1995 interview with Kathleen Gingrich, mother of Republican politician Newt Gingrich, on Eye to Eye, Ms. Gingrich said she could not say what her son thought about First Lady Hillary Clinton on the air. Chung asked Ms. Gingrich to “just whisper it to me, just between you and me,” and Ms. Gingrich replied that her son thought of Clinton as a “bitch.” Many people interpreted Chung’s suggestion that if Ms. Gingrich would whisper this statement it would be promised that the statement would be off the record. When the statement aired, viewers felt Chung had compromised her journalistic integrity. (It has been suggested that CBS, by this time looking to drop Chung from her contract with them, made no defense of the incident.)

I don’t understand the problem here. Hillary has not been slandered. Truth is an absolute defense to a charge of slander.
Instead of trying to manufacture a story out of this, Sanchez should do something constructive and informative like another noted Hispanic journalist and....like....um...Open Al Capone’s vaults!

Rick Sanchez is that guy who’s been doing some anchor duties on CNN lately? He’s a dimwitted lightweight, even by CNN standards. He introduces every single story in a breathless chicken little manner, apparently trying to excite the audience. For some reason, he reminds me of a high school quarterback who got the position because his dad is the coach. Whatever J-school churned him out has nothing to be proud of.
