"Operation Rescue manages a fleet of Truth Trucks that have traveled tens of thousands of miles from coast to coast over the past seven years. The right to display those images has been upheld in courts across the nation, which have also ruled that obscenity laws do not apply to aborted baby images."
It helps your credibility to read the article before responding.
/sometimes guilty too.
HOw stupid of you. Men force women to have abortions all the time and NO ONE does anything to stop them either. Women’s thoughts on the matter usually don’t count.
“You’re not real big on that bill of rights thing when people apply it to people you disagree with politically are you.”
Who said I disagree “politically” with something that isn’t even political? Anybody who would ride around with pictures of mutilated corpses on their vehicles is a sick bastard.
You post is glaring hypocrisy. If you approve of this, you have no right to complain about ANY public display. I take it you are just fine with public pornography and that it should be protected under the first amendment to show movies like “The Saw” and “Hostel” in public schools. First amendment, you know. Even though you probably disagree with that politically, you have no problem because it’s protected under the 1st amendment, right?
I mean, you should have no problem with the anti-war crowd driving around with mutilated American soldiers displayed on their vehicles, right? I’m sure you probably disagree with that politically, but hey, first amendment so it’s cool, huh?
Freakin’ hypocrite.
I agree with you. I am about as pro-life as they come, and this truck gives pro-lifers a bad name. It is violent and shocking, and we can come up with much better ways of educating the public of the big lie that is abortion. It all starts with removing the propoganda that promotes abortion, and not showing bloodied separated dead fetuses. We can lobby our elected officials. We can show fetuses in the womb at different stages of development. Show life, not death.
We saw the truck here in Alabama the week before. My daughter, who is pro-life, and had never seen those pictures, did not stop crying hyserically for miles. There was no reason to remind us of this atrocity. We live to overturn it everyday.
THere's no hypocrisy in advocating the right to display pictures of murdered babies while objecting to the harrassment of families holding funerals for their relatives (dead soldiers or not).
In any case, none of us here are Liberals nor are we Islamofascists so, quite frankly, we don't give a damned what you think about hypocrisy.
I suspect you might find the pictures from the Nazi concentration camp atrocities vulgar and obscene as well. The fact is that both sets of pictures represent the truth of what human beings are capable of doing to other human beings. As for vulgar and obscene, I am quite familar with what is truly vulgar and obscene because I have cable and an internet connections.
reminds me of an old movie, “Macon County Line”
Watch Out! The Flood is Coming!
I am not now, nor have I ever been part of the mindset that hides from the very existence of death until the day it must surely show up relentlessly at my door - as it will for you, and as it did for these children shown on the trucks of better men than you - who are doing what you are not to end the killing.
Semper fidelis
There are some people who give presentations to high school students in assemblies. They show in gruesome details and with equally gruesome descriptions of teen drunk driving accidents. It is very unpleasant stuff. Does it work? I cannot really say, the problem that many of the students that are affected the most are not the ones in danger of doing the behavior. But I do believe that it may affect a few that could use the direction. That is the problem with the abortion stuff, many who are greatly affected like your daughter understand the crime of abortion, but there are those who think no more of abortion than having their appendix taken out, need to see it is much more than that. There are many that might want to deny the Holocaust but the photographic record of the Holocaust makes that impossible. So it is with abortion, it is a form of Holocaust and some must confront the photographic record to understand it.
You sound bitter after your smackdown.
Precisely.
What does that have to do with the story?
Nothing.
BTW, I agree with you, but this is the way THEY chose to get the message out.
