Yepper.

I just don’t like the idea of leaving an unavoidable fight to our children and grandchildren after the enemy has grown much stronger.

I do agree that we the people do want change. Unfortunately incrementalism got us here and swinging a baseball bat won’t get us back on the right path. It’s going to take someone who can at least work with his own party. A Ron Paul presidency would be ineffective because both parties would isolate him and make things worse without him.

With @12,000,000.00 he can get himself a cup of coffee and watch the Republican Convention on TV.

YOU ARE NOT WANTED HERE! HAVEN’T YOU GOT THAT YET?

You talk to us about language? Open your ears you fool, and listen to what Ron Paul has engaged in. Denigration of the military, spouting in sane solutions for this Country’s problems. Your fight is not with me fool! Look to your own candidate and go somewhere where fools like you think Ron Paul is just brilliant...ain’t here!

Correction. I’m typing in the dark, not unlike Ron Paul who is preaching in the dark:

With $12,000,000.00 he can get himself a cup of coffee and watch the Republican Convention on TV.

Seems like he’s now at 7% and 4th or 5th place depending on which poll ya look at. With a 4% margin of error and considering that these polls do not include Dems or Indys both of which CAN vote and both of which he is likely courting... he could be in double figures.

Not too hard to see why when we face the horrid reality of the rest of this sad flawed field.

I would not describe his foreign policy that way, but I agree that it is the issue of foreign policy that has caused many here to hate him. But I sincerely think that this issue is something Republicans need to re-think. As he states in this video, his position is the traditional foreign policy position, as well as the constitutional one, and the advice of the founders.

Personally, I don't trust Bush at all anymore, and Dr. Paul has helped to change my views on foreign policy. I know many other Paul supporters who have said the same thing - they were once as gung ho about the war as others here are, but have changed their views, for a number of reasons.

I usually don’t post on any RP threads, but I do have to say, Paul could end up surprising a lot of posters here. This board , by and large, has tunnel vision. Paul’s name is getting out there and some folks are liking what they hear. Simply calling him a kook or yelling for him to get out of the “party” is not going to fix the real problem. The Republican party is leaving its voting base like the democratic party left Reagan.

I agree, and thank you for a reasonable and polite post. You're a breath of fresh air.

Give it up Bobbisox. There is no way you can sway Paulbots. They would sooner drink from the special kool-aid tub then change.

Not saying I support Paul. I agree with your sentiments but had to say, in lil 'ol rural part I live in, Paul's message is getting around. Note, I am talking about the voting types that by and large don't go out of their way to get their information. They get spoon fed doses/sound bites and make decisions based on that. Paul's messages are short and clear and whether you and I like them or not, those seeds are getting planted and some are liking what they hear.

Personally, I am voting for Hunter in the primaries. Will wait till the primaries are said and done to evaluate the general election.

The amount of money being raised for Paul sounds suspiciously high to me. I am guessing George Soros is somehow involved.

The question you should be asking is who is being polled repeatedly and why are Dr. Paul's supporters not being polled. I haven't been polled and I support him. It's a lot simpler than George Soros behind it all. Hmmmm, talk about conspiracy theories....Republicans blame George Soros for about anything don't you?

listen to what Ron Paul has engaged in

I do and have been for years. Except for maybe one issue I've struggled with (death penalty) I can't find fault with his positions. And as a Christian I'm leaning more toward his stance on that as well. He makes sense there although there are some technical issues (where to keep the criminals, etc.) that I may question

spouting in sane solutions for this Country’s problems

You are telling me!! Why, strong defense, limited government, eradication of taxation if possible, removing the behemoth called the federal government off our backs. Why it's horrendous!! Hey wait a minute, that sounds like standard talking points for Reagan. Doesn't Dr. Paul know today's Republicans love more government as long as they get to pass it?!?

I gotta admit that it would be a tough decision if Paul actually won the nomination. It might be safer to vote for him knowing that both parties would neuter him, than to let the democrats have the white house.

Without doubt, if Paul were to be elected, we would most definitely see all three branches of Gov't in full action at every turn over any little thing.

He’s getting lots of contributions from neo-Nazis, who don’t show up in polls because they don’t have phone lines at their compounds.

I'm a lot more fearfull of the damage that might be done because of him than damage that might be done by him.
