Good grief. We’re in a global war.
I know. You’d think a person who wants to be President in times like these would take it upon himself to learn as much about a part of the world that is in turmoil. I wouldn’t wait for someone to do it for me.
Oh Lord, do I hope you are correct.
Likewise regarding the Socialist underground and its effort to get enough of us to follow Paul into a third party ticket.
This is a biased article. And if his advisor came out in the public and disparaged him, then he needs to be let go.
Huckabee: A pre-9/11 Presidential candidate
Who would have thought that we would see
A choice as weak as Huckabee?
Another Carter, who when pressed,
Might not defend the brave, free West.
Fools rush in, we’ve heard it said,
But wimps like Huck can make us dead.
It is not unlike Tibet or Arkansas Mr. Huckabee sep mybe thar aint no WALMART
... and then given the Medal of Honor.
I just can’t believe this guy could be the nominee. Someone, please, reassure me that after Iowa, Huck’s presidential aspirations will be over.
Good One!
These hucks are WAY over their heads! Call in the adults.
The truth is, I could forgive someone not being totally knowledgeable about all the players and ins and outs of foreign policy if I thought they were well grounded in their beliefs. I don't have that feeling about Huck.
Bolton denies he is a Huckabee adviser

I think that they realize it now, the Democrat Media and Pollsters have moved Hucklebee down and have now moved their second choice, Roody up to first.
Another lie from Huckabee.
They hate Rudy most of all. Always have.
Huckabee has surged because he won a couple of debates and hes got evangelical support. If a quick rise can happen to the liberal pro-life evangelical Huckster, it can happen to the conservative pro-life evangelical Hunter.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

Why the smart money is on Duncan Hunter

In this poll Hunter is up 3% and even with Paul and Thompson.

"Right after September 11, with wounds fresh and emotions running high, President Bush declared that all other countries were either for us or they were for the terrorists. ... Is President Musharaff of Pakistan for us 100%? No, since September 11, he's been playing both ends in the middle to survive. ...Al Qaeda and the Taliban have expanded their training camps in the Waziristan region of Pakistan with impunity. This bodes ominously not just for Afghanistan, but also for Al Qaeda's plotting and training for more attacks all over the world, including here in the United States. This is the direct result of an ill-conceived autonomy agreement President Musharaff made with Waziristan's tribal leaders. In fact the tribal leader Musharaff has praised for fighting foreign terrorists, Mullah Nazir, recently said that he would protect Osama bin Laden! ...We're in a game of chicken with this military dictator: he warns us not to pursue terrorists across the border with Afghanistan, not to strike their bases on his territory because it could cause his government to fall and an even less friendly figure to take his job. But we have to make clear to him that he is of no use to us if he allows the Taliban and Al Qaeda to use his territory with impunity." - Mike Huckabee
“The truth is, I could forgive someone not being totally knowledgeable about all the players and ins and outs of foreign policy if I thought they were well grounded in their beliefs. I don’t have that feeling about Huck.”
If they were well grounded in their beliefs, and if they were a quick study. After the bombing it should have taken Huckabee and his foreign policy advisors about 20 minutes of hard Googling to get up to speed on the situation and come up with something intelligent, pertinent and non-provocative to say about Bhutto’s death. All the other candidates, even the Dems, managed to do that without creating a huge controversy. The fact that Huckabee couldn’t do that simple cramming exercise tells me his synapses don’t fire fast enough to run this country in wartime.
One never knows where tomorrow’s hot spot is going to be, and if the President is not a very quick learner, fast on his feet, and surrounded by some very good advisors, we the people could be in a world of hurt. Huckabee has proven time and again that he is not up to the job.
I mentioned that Bush didn't know who Musharef was in 1980, but the fact is, after 9-11, every candidate should be an expert on all those things. Huck is even more scary because we have no idea what he thinks because he has never thought on those subjects, and we don't know whose advice he would follow when he had to make decisions. My guess, based on his past, he would try to make the elites happy, and would become a puppet of the State Dept. and NY Times.
