If Mullen is calling for his colleagues in Quantanamo to be released, then they should be moved to his home where his family can take care of them. I wonder if Mrs. Mullen knows how to prepare food for their strict religious diet?
To: MichMash
This a political decision, not a military decision. He should keep his mouth shut.
As a retired Naval officer, I keep abreast of Navy policies. Mullen decision’s are based on politics and he is not a warrior like the former chairman, Gen. Pace
To: MichMash
Now we have a politically-correct wimp as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. When does the plague of locusts arrive?

Dumbocrat lawyers are just waiting for this to happen so they can get access to these poor terrorists who are opressed and tortured by the evil United States. Anyone who says otherwise, is probably too stupid to vote.

Gitmo is US soil. All US military bases are US soil.
When Mike Huckabee is the republican nominee, you are welcome to vote for Hillary. I will be voting Republican.

I thought Gitmo was uplifting our credibility to the rest of the world. Guess he lives in a different world than I.
I don't understand why anyone would want their garbage on the livingroom floor instead of the garage or the curb.

I sure don’t want those bums in American territory. If they can offload them to another country, that would be okay. But where?

I will vote for whomever is most fit and trustworthy to be POTUS.
That, my friend would not be Huckybee, Hillary, Obama, McCain, ROOTY etc. Only two. Hunter or Thompson.
By the way, you still make me sick.

They don’t have as many legal rights in Gitmo. but the truth is German POWs were kept in the United States during WWII, and weren’t assigned ACLU lawyers.

The chief of the U.S. military said Sunday he favors closing the prison here as soon as possible because he believes negative publicity worldwide about treatment of terrorist suspects has been "pretty damaging" to the image of the United States.Close it, but hang 'em all first.

Who authorized the admiral to give an interview, especially one in which he took it upon himself to make such a suggestion? Do officers actually have such freedom in today’s military?
On the other hand he may only be following the wishes of the Commander and Chief.
