Romney has now bowed out of the race leaving only McCain, Paul and Huckabee.

I expect folks like you to be more accurate than the Democrat media. Dr. Keyes is still in the race.

Well, I went and did it after work on the way home last nite. It mostly just made me sad. Being a conservative and a Republican is/was a big part of my identity (I am certainly still a conservative, now so more than ever). I feel more like I would imagine if you broke up with a long time girlfriend because she continued to betray you and treat you like crap even though you stayed loyal and true to her.

When you are pushed too far, you just have to stand up for yourself and make a change even if it hurts. Part of being a conservative is sticking to your principals and I decided I had to stick to mine. I said back in the fall that if McCain or Huckabee were the nominee (as unlikely as it seemed at that time)that was chosen by the party that it would cause me to quit. I came real close during the immigration deal but the folks in congress redeemed themselves. Not this time. I’m done.

I still have my framed portrait of Reagan on my desk. I will draw my inspiration from that.

The GOP has left me--and this latest so called 'rebate' WEALTH TRANSFER SCHEME is the last straw.

I will vote third party--or whatever party happens to advocate conservative values.

You may want to consider the following party.

Falcon Party

They went too far, left that is. This is not currently the party of Reagan. They won’t learn anything unless they take their medicine. Why reward bad behavior any longer and that includes the media (Fox News).

Mee too, I’m out. I’m over it too, no anger anymore, relieved that it’s over frankly, nothing worse than false hope.

At least I’ll still have Rush, Glenn Beck and Laura Ingraham until president McCain or Obama reinstitute the fairness doctrine. Then it is back to 1979 I guess cuz this site will be gone right along with any conservative talk hosts. That vindictive bastard McCain and his buddy Trent Lott more or less stated that conservatives have too much of that pesky free speech on the radio and net when we torpedoed the amnesty thing.
I totally agree that Fox News seems to have jumped the shark. The negativity toward and ultimate ignoring of Fred Thomposon proved that to me once and for all. I guess Rupert is getting himself lined up for the Brave New World that we have coming in about a year.

I’m still a conservative, just not a PARTY LOYALIST type conservative a/k/a RINO. Go, Huckabee, keep playin’ that base cuz McCain cannot “win me back”. He never had me, and I’m not his to lose. Laura Ingraham said it best yesterday a CPAC.

Obama is a way for radical jihad to say one of their's is in the white house even though he states that he is a Christian.

Here goes: Barak Obama is the Barney Rubble of the War on Terror.

I’m out too and I’m done with Fox News as they have gone down the path of the useless, shrill, liberal MSM.

I’ll take a look next they nominate a true conservative.

I’m for Huckabee now. He was mean to Romney but at least he wasn’t a liar like John McFibber. I hope Mitt’s voters go for Huckabee from here on out.

As long as talk show hosts are more reliable than politicians, I’m with them. Glenn Beck started out doing comedy and parodies. After 9-11, he completely changed his on air persona. Rush, Glenn and Laura have all had their health scares. They’re all fighters and this is a battle royale. I’m not a big listener but I admire that they’re not taking any more BLANK from the dems or from the gop.

“I’m for Huckabee now.”

So am I. When you have two candidates in the GOP, seeking the nomination, you go with the better candidate.

Huckabee is far more pro-life, than McCain, and Huckabee is very, very strong on our 2nd amendment rights.

What's the point in supporting the GOP now?

Did they feel responsible to the conservative voters like myself, when the party leadership "selected" a non conservative as the nominee?

And why should I feel responsible to support the party, when the party's own hand picked nominee "McNASTY" has never felt that he had to?

The GOP has sent us conservatives a very clear message, and I completely understand what they are saying.

Let's see how far McNasty and his Party leaders get with his so called independent base!

Let’s retake the GOP! Starting with supporting conservatives for Congressmen and Senators! Resignation and surrender will ONLY ensure an eternal Democrat grip on power!

I agree with this line of thinking...to an extent. If the GOP is ever to return to a conservative entity, it is going to have to be from the bottom up.
