McCain supporters and the GOP will have their hands full with issues concerning McCain’s health. Poor physicals helped bring his naval career to an end, and his health has not improved over time, but raised additional health concerns.
One counter tactic already being employed has McCain selecting a younger VP candidate to replace him should his health falter. That sounds plausible on the surface, but realistically speaking, it would carry no wight with most people. People never pick a winning team on the merits of what the backup squad might accomplish.
As the Republican convention approaches, AND ... if McCain’s health and age do become major issues, John McCain will have to decide if his personal quest for the White House trumps the needs of the nation. I expect he would withdraw after much reflection.

CNN right now is having a bash-fest against McCain because he is defending himself and for criticising the NYT. And Jack Cafferty made the ludicrous comment that if McCain had simply cheated on his wife, the media would have absolutely no interest in it.

I don’t like McCain and have been seriously considering abstaining in November. This story makes it a little more likely I will vote for him after all. I suspect this hit piece by the Times will make a lot of other conservatives who detest McCain realize that they loathe the Times even more. I mean, Keller wants to take him down. I want whatever Keller doesn’t want.

McCain has proved he is a liar, he is also a liar that refuses to apologize when he is called out by many for his lies.
How quickly we forget his dirty little trick, with Huck help against Romney in Florida.
Integrity? Juan Hernandez on his staff, I doubt it. This story probably isn’t true, but he deserved it.

Not in my wildest nightmares would I have imagined the Republicans would choose McCain or let media dictate our candidate. I think he will resign only if enough pressure is put on him. Aren't many of his delegates nonbinding?
We need to have a different way of electing our candidates that would exclude crossover Dems. and independents. He does not appear normal, and I saw Cindy help him deplane. She stands at his side like a nurse ready to catch him if he teeters.

AP trying to circle the wagons for the Times, which made a HUGE blunder by releasing this story. I predict this will help McCain, not hurt him.

That was exactly what it was supposed to do.

Thats because (Larry Sinclair) Obama has his own (Larry Sinclair) skeletons to keep in his closet.

Jack cafferty is well a nut and doesn’t represent the MSM.
but Anderson Cooper turned the table on the NYT...at least that was my impression from what I saw last night.
This is a big test for my theory that the MSM wants McCain to win. The timing is strange...many months before the general election or even before the dems settle on a nominee but right after it is clear that he has the GOP nomination.

No need to sit around slack-jawed FReepers. Everyone and their Momma knew this was going to happen.

The New York Slime has file cabinets full of dirt on McCain because the guy is a womanizing lying sleaze. That is why they endorsed him as a Republican--because they knew they could take him out at will. They will release it little by little between now and November. This was just a little taste.
Expect a Keating Five Anniversary edition and a "Who kept the drug-addicted Cindy out of jail" Sunday feature or two. Then more bimbos and lobbyists will start making appearances like ants at a picnic.
Attacking the media is one of my favorite sports, but McCain is such an easy target he will be hard to miss.
My issue with the media is not that they blast McCain, it is that they gave him a free pass for years, and they will give the Democrat nominee a free pass as well.
Conservatives shouldn't waste their credibility defending McCain. He will just burn us over and over.

Mccain is beating Mrs. Clintoon in the national polls and is in a statistical dead heat against the MoonBat Socialist called Oman. The “enemy” is over there, you seem very confused. How can anybody call themselves a conservative by sitting out this election and allowing for the most LIBERAL candidate since Stevenson to become Prez. This freakin empty suit dope is to the left of McGovern, McCarthy, Hart, Kerry, Ted Kennedy etc...
