Requiem for Sen. Joseph McCarthy

I have re-read much of M.Stanton Evan's book, Blacklisted By History. The scholarship is remarkable. The documentation superb. If anyone wants names, they will have them by reading this book. This as you will know, of course.

What I should be saying is my own slap dash post assuming Ronald Kessler of NEWSMAX is in anyway a leftist. Shame on me. He has gone after Obama and his church affiliation. He has defended George W.Bush. This is not an easy task these days. Just that he was excessively hard on the late Senator Joseph McCarthy. This kind of thing does get to one, even at this distance in time.

I might add the late President Richard Nixon, though not a martyr, just could have been close to that, as indeed Joseph McCarthy appears to be now.
