There are two explainations for that. One, collaborators were offered early release.
Or two, he really wanted to stay behind and help his men.
Since, he has left his men since, I don't believe the latter.

Actually, it was a Commie propaganda stunt and McCain knew it. Because McCain was the son of Admiral McCain and CIC of the U.S. Pacific Command from 68-72. McCain refused to be released unless his fellow prisoners were also released.
Whether it was a stunt or not, that doesn’t explain the shredding of live sighting reports since. You said you were not familiar with his background. Try reading the links I keep posting.
Those men were left behind because he shredded the reports. Some of those families received animal bones and were told they were their loved ones.
He sold them. I will never vote for him because of that.

Just decided I didn’t like my old handle and in the middle of a thread one day decided to change it. I actually logged in to my old account the other day out of curiosity. It’s still active as I’m on a ping list under my old moniker. I’m surprised it’s still there as I had some PM’s back and forth with a mod and thought he was going to cancel the account.
If it was just because you didn’t like your old handle, the Mods will change your name per request. Retredding lends the impression you may not have liked your old posts.
Well if you geniuses spent as much time on the subject matter of the threads as you spend worrying about petty BS like whether I made a mistake in the posting the friggin’ date;
you might have something of substance worth reading...

Didn’t know that. Anyway, it’s been 3 years with no ill effects and the tenor of my posts has never changed.
If it means anything, bump to the post. I didn’t see a search return from 2006 anyway. It should be posted.
Since I can’t do an in forum search to see if the tenor of your posts have changed, I guess I’ll have to take your word for it. That is one of the points of maintaining the same account you know.
