Tornadoes whip through D.C. suburbsPublished: April 21, 2008 at 7:01 AM
WASHINGTON, April 21 (UPI) -- Two tornadoes touched down in Washington's Maryland suburbs, ripping siding off buildings and ripping up trees, authorities said.
While no injuries were reported from the tornadoes Sunday, police said heavy rains accompanying them contributed to a chain-reaction crash on the Capital Beltway in Prince Georges, Md., County that left several people severely injured, The Washington Post reported Monday.
The storms turned the National Mall became a sea of mud for Earth Day festivities, as well as disrupted a croquet match. They produced so much lightening, an airliner was forced to make an emergency landing, officials said.
The National Weather Service said the damaging storms moving through Prince George's and Charles counties in Maryland were tornadoes, albeit relatively small ones.

I guess the best thing for me to do is ignore it so I can keep my job! I will not email the CEO and tell him I am a Conservative who does not believe in the fallacy of climate change.

I keep a letter of resignation at the ready. It’s a living document. I add to it as necessary, like when I get one of “those” letters.
The distribution list is corporate wide.
One of these days......

"I just received a kooky email from the CEO of my company about our Carbon Footprint and Climate Change." Now, imagine the committee/group who advised him to send the email.

The storms turned the National Mall became a sea of mud for Earth Day festivities, as well as disrupted a croquet match.WHAT??? A croquet match was disrupted?? Stop the presses!
Seriously, by pairing these two events, UPI is either dissing the Earth Day event, or elevating the croquet match. Not sure which.

I just received a kooky email from the CEO of my company about our Carbon Footprint and Climate Change. Here's your chance to hit it big!
Create some "Carbon Off-Set" certificates and take them to the next board meeting. Use inane "Double-Talk" and explain how the company can pay you one hundred grand and shrink their Carbon Footprint.
P.T. Barnum once said that it's morally wrong to leave money in the hands of the foolish.
