O.P. means “original poster.”
My "personal agenda" didn't make it the news. The news made it the news. I couldn't even scan the press for one article on an accused Charlotte priest, without another more recent article popping up. That is sad.
Then they apparently to bury it by changing the whole story.
Even sadder
Should read attempt to bury it by changing the whole story.
Check out how they changed the story to try to make Corbin look like a hero.
There is coverup in the press of the scandals too though. Look how they changed the story. May be part of the Democrats trying to appeal to Christian voters.
I’m not sure what your point is. The headline and the lead paragraph both make it clear that this was a homosexual pederast priest, and that he was convicted and jailed for one of his offenses. What more do you want?
In the original version yes your point stands.
In the second version written by Ms. Judge the headline becomes "Palmer Fire Claims a Life".
You don't see this in my post but if you follow the link as long as it is still up you see it.
They change that he is from Charlotte and North Carolina and try to dump him off on South Carolina.
Maybe just in case people find out his past.
They also don't mention his past, they remove that he was a disgraced priest and a convicted sex offender. Instead they make him out to be a hero who you want taking you to the hospital if you are sick. Very very big changes made to the article that completely show the agenda.

Watch The Story Residents at the Palmer Green Apartment complex woke up to the harsh reality that their friend and neighbor, Jack Corbin a retired priest from South Carolina, is gone after a fire ripped through his apartment around 8:00 Tuesday night.
Neighbor Yvette Gould says, "It's the first big fire we've had in the 20 years since I've been here and it was terrible it was coming out of the roof, oh, the fire engines the cruisers, everything, everything, they threw everything out."
But what resident's didn't see was their friend who lived inside. They were hoping he wasn't home but fire officials discovered the elderly man's lifeless on his first floor apartment after entering the building.
Corbin's Friends are devastated say the community wont be the same without him.
Gould says, "Jack was a very nice man he was very good for the seniors, anytime you needed a ride or a prescription he was there to bring us to the hospital or whatever."
Corbin's friends tell us he had strong ties to the Palmer Green Community. He had moved up here years ago to take care of his parents who actually built the place. In fact there's a plaque in the main office with his father Andre Corbin's name and face engraved right on it which friend's say is the reason he felt he needed to take care of the residents.
Neighbor Jeane Griffon says, "Can I do anything for you can I take you some place you know he would always say if you want a ride to the hospital just let him know."
No one else was injured during Tuesday night's fire. Palmer fire officials are still investigating the exact cause of the fire. They say as of right not it appears it may have started in the living room near a stuffed chair.

Thanks. Curious. And perhaps even more curious, I don’t doubt that both versions are probably true—that is, partly true. Look at him from one angle, and he was a former pederast, a priest who lost his job and his calling. Look at him from another angle, and he was a nice old guy, helpful to his neighbors.
The first instinct was to revive the pederast priest angle. Then maybe someone higher up at the station leaned on them to change it.
Whatever the exact motive though it looks like the press intentionally changed the story to coverup and hide what they decided that they didn't want to bring out, which is exactly what they brought out in the first version.
Would be interesting to interview the original author regarding the story change and see if anything but a NO COMMENT response could be obtained.
Second author looks to be more inline for career advancement, job security and all.
Seems like the kissing up to management type.
First author was more of a detective and did a better job researching and reporting the news.
Can you document that?
