Yes, that's the cancer that has been linked to asbestos exposure. There has been spectulation that the asbestos in the driving suit and helmet that he wore when racing might have contributed to his cancer.
I heard it was the asbestos in the lining of the boilers he regularly cleaned out during his stint as a Merchant Marine.
