This has tremendous possibilities, as long as it is not co-opted by the usual suspects. First and foremost it has to offer its audience some real advantages by watching.
This means networking for employment and business; investment strategies (think Motley Fool); and solid advice for avoiding scams, scoundrels and ripoffs; good life advice; health and medical care; sponsoring clubs and organizations to join; profiles of black history and greatness; and most of all news.
Most likely the black communities around the US are disconnected a great deal, and this insulates them from the “good ideas” found in other communities.

Nor can he see that publicly showing up @ the race haters church for 20 years is in fact an endorsment.

Investing won't be a problem. I am sure they will apply for government funding as a minority owned business.

I guess all the races feel most comfortable with members of their own. What would be strange would be like Obama or Tiger Woods where you are raised in two different worlds, not fully a part of either.

I suppose if all black people, including myself, are racist: then one must also come to the conclusion that all white people are racist as well. Someone should have explained that to my husband and I when we got married almost 20 years ago. That makes me a black woman married to a man I hate and that makes him a white man married to a woman he hates. And I guess we are supposed to hate the two great kids that we made together because they have the other’s blood running through their veins. I guess we should not be associating with our circle of friends who are black, white and asian. I guess we should not live in our neighborhood, which is racially diverse. My husband should have never served in the military with all these different types of people. ....I could go on but that would make me as ridiculous as you are.

My children are biracial and very well adjusted kids. They excel in school, in sports, in music. I think it is a myth that you are stuck out there in the universe without a soul to identify with. We live in the area where there are alot of interracial marriages (they say due to the military) and there are alot of other kids they identify with. When I would pick my child up from daycare, I would have to identify my daughter’s clothing from a distance because there were so many other little girls that looked similar to her. They have friends of all races just like their father and I have.

Maybe they should ask BET, the Miss Black America pageant, the NAACP, the National Black Caucus, the United Negro College Fund or one of the MANY other black centered organizations to start one.
