According to Genepax, the main feature of the new system is that it uses the company's membrane electrode assembly (MEA), which contains a material capable of breaking down water into hydrogen and oxygen through a chemical reaction. Why didn't somebody tell me that the Second Law of Thermodynamics had been repealed?

Let me hide plates of pure copper and zinc in a box and I'll turn water into hydrogen and oxygen through a "chemical reaction". Just don't look in my box or ask my what chemical changes have happened to my copper and zinc.

Somewhat reminiscent of John Galt’s engine which extracts static electricity from the air.

Whoever wrote the article seems to believe in perpetual motion, or they’re a shyster, or else they’d have answered “the question.”

Add small Otto engine, when supplied with the “material” us laymen call gasoline, can be used to power a “electrode assembly” to break down hydogen and oxygen from water. :)
To: keat
I find that all too plausible.

Perhaps your law was only a theory, Newton’s Law of Gravity once told us we could not fly, but perhaps not...

The distinct advantage over solar is that you can guarantee the input and therefore the output.

Actually with all that static John could have been on to something. BTW who is John Galt?

Exactly! First the HHO scam, now this. It must be the multidimensional flux capacitor that does not actually violate the second law of thermodynamics, it just steps around it (sarcasm off)

one horsepower = 745 watts.
So this cell (300W) will produce less than half a horsepower. Yes... I can see the potentional in powering slot cars...

It must be the multidimensional flux capacitor that does not actually violate the second law of thermodynamics, it just steps around it (sarcasm off)That's why you need fresh dilithium crystals in the warp core.
