I never heard the story that Condit was a blackmailed traitor — do tell!

Wasn’t that slime Scarborough rumored to be involved in Condit’s little sex ring?

I’m in agreement that he probably didn’t do it. Although I suspect that he ran with a crowd...where some would have easily known of his relationship and the naive nature of Chandra...and its likely one of them killed her.

Gary Condit had to leave California and is now running a fast food restaurant. For more on that, google Condit Baskin-Robbins. It seems he moved to Arizona and opened two ice cream shops. But then the franchisor revoked the franchise agreement over non-payment of fees and sued him for continuing to use the franchise name.

With all the stuff going on out there - they FEATURE THIS?
What, you expect them to write features on the victory of U.S. and Iraqi forces in Iraq? Why would they want to do that?

This happened right after we moved from Modesto to Atwater. Condit spoke at my commencement from Stan State. In my bones, I know he knows what happened.
To: cynwoody
The last I heard, Condit had moved to northern Idaho.
I don't think he had anything to do with it. I think all of the speculation and hype over the story detracted from the investigation and that the result was that a killer is still out on the streets. Another unfortunate result is that we now have a more liberal representative in the House who doesn't have near the political clout Condit did.

Condit certainly went to a lot of trouble to obstruct the case. And every move he made to keep it on the down low only served to make him look guiltier than sin.
Driving miles away to throw away another mistress’s gift watch in a McDonald’s bag? Missing his first day of votes ever while driving deep into the VA hills to call still another mistress from another McDonald’s? Hmm, maybe Ronald McDonald was somehow involved.

My gut feeling is that it was someone she knew/met through her work, but not GC.

Imagine trailing a congressman as he has his driver drive all over the VA and DC suburbs, stopping at the occasional dumpster to toss out jewelry collected from his mistresses?
Note that Chandra’s jewelry was never found.

"an enormous effort by the D.C. police"
HORSECRAP!!
The D.C. Police couldn't even find her body, although they searched right past it in Rock Creek Park. Some guy walking his dog found her when the mutt came back with a tibia bone.
They still can't tell you how she died; if you said mice, your guess is as good as any.
The "solve" rate, that is knowing who the perp is for D.C. is less than 12%, never mind actually catching the guy.
It is common knowledge among the bad guys that if you want to do a clean hit, light up the guy any where and dump the body in D.C.
By the way, you can thank Marion Barry for this; when he was "Mayor for Life" he removed any and all standards from the D.C. Police.
