I detest Oprah Winfrey — that woman’s head is so big she needs a wheelbarrow just to move it around.
She became really insufferable way back around the time of the O.J. Simpson trials — showing her true racism clearly on her show a few times as she seethed about the civil lawsuit victory against Simpson. Even a few of my friends who were Oprah FANS noticed it.
I cannot imagine ever watching her show — a few times many years ago was more than enough for me. I suspect she may lose a few “fans” over this refusal to have Palin on her show.
She claims she doesn’t want her show used as a political forum. Huh??? Who paraded around the country with Obama months ago during the primaries, shrieking about how great he is?
She IS her show — a one woman moving circus “show” that heaves from Chicago to Santa Barbara and back again.
Blecchhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The woman is a pig — a rich pig, but a pig.

As I taught my daughter when she was young, Barbie prefers GI Joe to that Ken wimp.

He's not a great speaker, but when he has something to say it resonates. So its more important to speak an important message imperfectly than to speak brilliantly but have in the end nothing to say. When McCain is delivering pro-forma remarks, checking off the check boxes, he'll put you to sleep. But when he speaks from the heart he connects and people hear him. Thats how you overcome your limitations as a speaker; speak from the heart and have something important to say. He did a good job last night. He'll be fine.
Sorry, not buying it.
Most of the time what turns off conservatives about McCain and his speeches is his poking them in the eye with his "Maverick" and non-conservative positions on issues near and dear to conservatives.
Sarah Palin was awesome, she does not have McCain's baggage.

Her speech today was a cut and paste job from her convention speech. Are they thinking that their audience at the rally didn't watch her speech? I imagine that 95 percent did. She needs to keep it fresh.

I personally would like her to appear on “Everyone loves Raymond.”

Caribou Barbie
I’m sorry, but that’s just plain hilarious, and won’t hurt her a bit.

Looks like Barbie is packing an M-1 Garand, not a 10-22.

Most of the time what turns off conservatives about McCain and his speeches is his poking them in the eye with his "Maverick" and non-conservative positions on issues near and dear to conservatives. It was a pretty good speech, but I was holding my breath all the way through hoping he wouldn't go off on some global warming tangent, or immigration. So far he's being good. I have no doubt once he's in the White House we'll have our work cut out for us. I'd rather fight him than Obama, but I have no doubt we'll have to fight him on any number of issues.
McCain is still McCain.

Definitely Leno. And when Letterman tries to get her, she should tell him she can’t, as she’s “taping a Jerry Springer” that day.

I just got a nasty e-mail from the most liberal person I know. A woman ‘who says’ she is from Palin’s hometown is trashing her. Oh well, I knew it would start.

"So its more important to speak an important message imperfectly than to speak brilliantly but have in the end nothing to say." Y'know, that has to be the most perfect one-sentence summation of the difference between McCain-Palin and Obama-Bidedn I've ever heard. Congratulations on your clarity and succinctness.
The best one-line description of Obama I've yet heard is "Fresh Prince of Hot Air". A perfect match for him.

"I feel bad that Oprah is sidelining Governor Palin from a mainstream women's audience." The only person who will be hurt by that action is Oprah. She will lose large chunks of credibility with her viewers.
To: Carry_Okie
The DNC has a problem if Obama is forced to step down. Hillary would certainly take his place, but Obama zealots certainly wouldn’t want to reward her.
I don’t understand how the lawyer-infested DNC wouldn’t have checked into this and have concrete refutations long before now.

What did you expect Oprah to do for a strong Republican woman? Embrace her and have tea? Her indoctrination won’t allow it...nor will her puppet master(s).
