I talked to a pretty reasonable, intelligent guy at work today, an “independent” but generally more supportive of classic conservatism/libertarianism.

Anyway, that’s not the point. He was absolutely certain that the picture of Sarah Palin in the flag-bikini was real. And in fact he was certain that she had admitted it was real, and had apologized for her lack of judgment.

This is what we have to deal with. People who are only somewhat in tune with what is happening, who catch bits and pieces and don’t see any reason to doubt it.

I explained it was photoshopped, and told him I was certain. Because he trusts me, he believed me, but it wasn’t easy to convince him.

I am a gal and I thought she looked terrific. I suppose these shrews were upset because she doesn’t have to swaddle cellulite in a pantsuit.

Are you kidding me? That was one of the better outfits she's had on. The champaign 3/4 sleeve jacket the night before was the best, but there is no way anybody could come up with "not conservative" in classy suit pieces.
