People who know about Sambo legends tend to be people who read up a lot on US history. And people who know history don't tend to vote Republican.

Delusional as well as mad. The people I know who read about REAL history and not the revisionist, filtered, feminist HERstory crap they teach in college nearly always vote Republican.

If he were much of a businessman, wouldn't "Arnold Gerstheimer" turn up elsewhere on the Internet? Other than in these reports?

The only refernces to Arnold Gerstheimer on a Google Search are in regards to this story.

There are no phone records, no business records, no address listings. There are other Gerstheimers, but no Arnold. I don't believe this person exists!

Would it be inaccurate to call a dark skinned person “Sambo”?

I mean, if you called a light skinned Irishman “Sambo”, folks might say “huh?” and rightly so.

Just as if someone called your golden retriever “Sambo”, you might not understand.

But if a dark skinned person is called “Sambo” your inner watchdog of word meanings would immediately recognize a connection. Of course, your inner PC watchdog would be horribly offended, but this just proves the point.

I don’t think Osama could outsmart tigers. So that’s not the connection.

Nor is he probably from India, but I don’t think even he knows what race his family tree is rooted in.

I did not remember the story of Sambo, until I read it here, but even so, I do not see that being called Sambo is such a bad thing. Especially if the reference is only to skin color. Even though it may be hard to determine what nationality or race Obama is, one of things that is identifiable about him is his skin color.

I’ve been told for many years that ,”black is beautiful” and if this is true, then being called Sambo, as a reference to skin color, might well be considered a compliment.
