Rice is a brilliant woman with an amazing resume and is no doubt extraordinarily gifted. She is not a conservative. She is a moderate on foreign policy and quite liberal when it comes to social issues. She would have brought nothing to the McCain ticket if she even wanted to be VP which she clearly does not. Sounds like she is very much ready to get out of DC and she deserve to do just that with a standing ovation of applause for her service. Not that I agree with some of the things she has done but I blame Bush for that.

Sarah Palin has been an executive. She has lived the small town life the a vast majority of Americans live. Her resume, while quite different than Condi's, is impressive as well. She is a conservative without feeling the need to throw "compassionate" in front of it. Her record validates her words. I think McCain could not have chosen a better person to be his wing man.

If she was a white male would she have been given the job?

The GOP has too many candidates that are Lawyers, and can do ‘business’. I want political warriors. That know that American, liberty, freedom have domestic enemies that need to be politically defeated and destroyed.

SENATOR BIDEN'S LEVEL PLAYING FIELD Democratic Senator Joseph Biden of Delaware has been a great friend of feminists. He was a major force in getting the "Violence Against Women Act" passed. He supports feminist causes and hobnobs with feminist leaders. He even had hair plugs, so that he could be more of a friend to women.

Biden supports affirmative action and other social engineering to"level the playing field" for women and make everything nice and fair. So Joe Biden is a real fair-minded guy, right?

If you want to find out just how fair he is, ask the thousands of people who just tried to compete for a job opening against Joseph R. "Beau"Biden III, the senator's son.

About 4,000 people applied for entry-level positions last year at the Justice Department. These positions are prestige jobs for young lawyers -- hotly sought out as a ticket to power and inside contacts. Out of those 4,000 applicants, only 163 were hired. And one of them was the senator's son.

Pop and Junior both say that the younger Biden was qualified for theposition. (Such whiny white males -- since when did being qualified for a job mean that you should get it?) But if the younger Biden s "qualified," it's worth noting that when got his law degree in 1994 from Syracuse University, he had a grade point average of 2.69 -- not even good enough to put him in the top 25 percent of his class.

So if he can't make the top 25 percent of one graduating class, how did he suddenly shoot to the top 4 percent of 4,000 job applicants from across the nation?

Surely it was just a coincidence? What kind of strings could Biden possibly have pulled? Well, let's see. Senator Biden is on the Senate Judiciary Committee. In fact, he used to be its chairman. And the Judiciary Committee oversees the Justice Department, where the senator's sonjust got that prestigious job.

And one of the projects the younger Biden will be working on is the Violence Against Women Act -- one of Senator Biden's sacred cows. But this sort of thing is not a habit with Senator Biden, is it?'

Well, let's take a look at the Government Printing Office. The chief lobbyist for the GPO, getting a nice $78,000 a year paycheck, is a man named Francis W. "Frank" Biden. He's the senator's younger brother.

We are proud of Senator Biden for showing us how liberal ethics are put into action -- "do as I say, not as I do." Senator Biden had demanded that we "level the playing field." Everyone out there who feels that affirmative action is unfair will just have to shut up about it and take their lumps. Meanwhile, there is some affirmative action in getting people named Biden -- a woefully underrepresented minority -- onto Capitol Hill.

Senator Biden indeed levels the playing field.

Just think of all those other applicants who get leveled when someone named "Biden" came along.

I read, I think at the WP, that Cindi was intimately involved in the final decision, and I think she was Mac’s last consultation on the matter, just before the offer was made to Sarah.

I also rejoice that the two women get along so well. It is crucial that there is trust and harmony between them, or the ticket, and [I believe] coming administration, would be crippled.

The Obama/Biden ticket makes for stark contrast. While the courageous Palen pick makes great organic sense even as it is politically brilliant, the Biden pick was pure political expediency at work (a truly foundational theme for synthetic man Obama), making no organic sense at all. Consequently the Dem ticket is inverted and in great disharmony (to the point where Biden apparently drinks on the stump to cope).

Thank you. I was thinking more in terms of the initial influence the senator's wife may have had; I haven't any doubt that she was in the huddle on the final thumbs-up. One day, perhaps, we'll know the whole truth.

Right now, the main thing is that Gov. Sarah Palin is a soon-to-be Vice President Palin and later-to-be President Palin. HOORAY!!!
