Exactly, Sambo was an Indian and had Bengal Tigers surrounding him (turned them to butter). It was my favorite book back in 1956. I still recall the back page with the swirling buttered tigers - yummmm.
Jimmy Carter said it.
This sounds like a Dem planted “rumor” to try to harm Gov. Palin. I don’t know Gov. Palin but, from what little I have seen/heard about her, she would not use that type of language.
This kind of stuff isn’t new for leftists, they have a track record of planting false rumors about conservatives.
This legacy of lies and devisiveness belongs solely to the Democrats who have been driving a wedge between conservatives and liberals for the past two decades or more.
I used to work for Sambos. one of the most horribly managed businesses I ever saw. deserved bankrupcy, but not for the name.
I am not going there. What is it about?
Anybody who could likely have been offended by this, was never going to vote Republican anyway, so who cares?
I'd still like one of those shirt's though.
If anyone see's them on the internet ("is that thing still around?", let me know (xxL).
Sambo is Obmas backwards? Kinda like Osama?
Kind of cryptic, no?
I can remember “Little Black Sambo” before people tried to wipe him out. He was the cutest and the smartest, and he could make “tiger butter” out of a tiger.
I would vote for Sambo, if I could find his name on any ballot, but he seems to be gone.
I remember eating at Sambo’s as a kid. I loved the story and never drew any racial connotations from it. I also named my current dog Sambo as a slap at political correctness.
Were it not for something like this, we would have an Allen/Palin ticket.
