Of all the reason to give to vote for Obama, Obama’s ability to handle the war on terror has to be the most ignorant.

No , he loves Joey Vento, the cheesesteak guy, because Vento supports the family of the wife of Daniel Faulkner, the policeman that that other piece of trash, Mumia Abu-Jamal, killed in cold blood.

Yep, sorta like Kerry’s secret plan to fix the economy.

How’s that workin’ out?

I used to listen to this guy on his radio show in Philadelphia but lost interest when Bill Bennett’s Morning in America came to town. I thought Smerconish basically did a good job but he just didn’t strike me as genuine, even though he presented himself as a consistent fiscal conservative (I must admit his social liberalism was a total put-off). There was some odd quality about him that made it very easy to switch after several years of listening. Remembering his strong preference for McCain in 2000 made me wonder what his support for him was like today. This article just saved me the time of giving him another listen. I have to agree with those who believe he is a MSNBC suck up.

perzackly.

President Bush now has adopted the “Obama Doctrine” of hot pursuit into Pakistan. Now that we are WINNING IN IRAQ. Which is where al Qaeda would be if we hadn't trampled out the vintage where the grapes of wrath were stored.

The action Charlie Gibson tried so hard to nail Sarah Plain to the wall for, trying to grill her if she dared to say she would go into Pakistan without the cooperation of the Paki govt (which I believe Bush has delicately and covertly obtained, despite the damage to the diplomatic process caused by a big mouth inexperienced politico like Obama).

Libs are simply pathetic.

The rodent majority sure has “fixed” it real good. Kinda like curing a hangnail by castration.

These are things that I wonder as I watch from my perch in Philadelphia, where I'm a talk show host, columnist and MSNBC talking head.

I stopped reading right there.

Cheers!

This is akin to a Dem saying I’m voting Republican to save the planet and fight global warming.
Simply does not jive with reality.

Actually, it does, since market solutions actually solve problems.

It's those damn RINOs you have to look out for...

Cheers!

Charles Gibson has branded himself as a low-life. He has branded himself, not as a newsman, but as a stooge of Obama.

Smerconish is delusional if he thinks Obama will be tougher on terrorists than McCain...

If Smerconish actually votes for Obama, he’ll lose whatever ratings he has left...

Anyone who has ever seen this dingbat on TV knows quite well he is anything but conservative. I never liked him and it will be fun to watch as he self-immolates his career, or morphs into a silly, Olbermann-type character.

So Michael Smerconish’s solution to finding the terrorist Bin Laden is to vote for Obama, whose mentor Bill Ayers, is an unrepentant domestic terrorist. That makes a lot of sense! < / sarc>

What a brass-plated fool. His so-called logic is this: The people I generally support have handled a war sloppily. Therefore, I may vote for the other side, who've shown they will butcher this war, and probably get us into a new and larger one.

Obviously, this man has read little of the history of the conduct of American wars. They are all wasteful, with elements of failure, and examples of stupidity. All you can really ask for is that war lead to victory and therefore peace with the defeated enemy.

What a windbag... I can see why he aspires to an MSNBC gig. How are those talk-radio ratings doing?

Most posters who know him have nailed Smerconish as an unreliable Republican.

This whole “Why can’t we find Osama?” thinking is ignorant on so many levels that it is not worth refuting in this small space.

Suffice it to say that anybody who really understands the situation are not speaking up because they enjoy chuckling to themselves everytime someone brings up this important “issue”.
