NYC effete elite beltway syndrome.

He only lives in the beltway bunker away from the ‘biter’ peoples.

We know this is fatuous BS by a simple rule:

He never states the conservative reasons that make Obama a good President, and a gauzy ‘prudence’ is subjective nonsense.

There is NOTHING AT ALL PRUDENT in letting a man without any executive experience become president. That is a huge huge risk. Thus the conservative and prudent thing is to go for McCain. We can sleep better at night knowing McCain will have the better judgment at 3am crisis times.

Also, Obama opposed Roberts and Alito. What’s prudent in that?!?

“Yeah, maybe he doesn’t understand that tax cuts aren’t the problem; it’s the stupid spending that’s the real problem. “

Right. Anyone who says that tax cuts are a problem is NOT looking at the facts clearly.

The tax cuts helped create jobs and grow the economy they did NOT reduce revenues that much. It’s the spending growth that is the problem.

“And when you consider the portion of government spending that is defined as entitlements, it makes military spending look paltry.”

Correct. The overheated rhetoric suggests that he is using hte liberal arguments to try to sound ‘conservative’.
Its a farce, and we should know it by now. The liberals have been trying to undermine conservative unity by making inconsistent claims.

Iraq spending is our problem? Iraq is less than 5% of total spending since 2003. What about the other 95% of the problem?!?!

Allison was only briefly the publisher for .

He had the magazine publishing credentials that caused Buckley to invite him to join the board of National Review in 1985. He became the publisher in 1990...but by 1993 he was GONE.

He's not really a conservative...never has been. Anybody whose had an association with (or read) D Magazine knows better.

Supporting Obama will go over very well in his social circle, however.
