'Common values hold us together. The DNC doesn’t understand that way of thinking. Sad.'

So very true. the only thing Democrats understand is Power At Any and All Costs.

If you vote race over the right to life, you have no dignity to lose.

Precisely...

Not such a good idea, IMO.

They’re just so ridiculous. The country has been split right down the middle in the last couple of elections, but because it’s split this time, it’s racism? Give me a freakin’ break.

I’m so sick of hearing them whine.

“If you think the Left is deranged today, wait for liberal hell to break loose upon America on November 5th.”

And I am making things right now with which to crush it with extreme prejudice.

T Lady, just how likely do you think it is that there will be violence if Obama loses? I wonder sometimes if that, in itself, is not a threat propagated, at least intimated, by the leftists.

'What the Democratic Party is doing in raising race recalls all the ugliness and divisive tactics of the racists and segregationists of the Old South.'

The genesis of the Democratic Party...

'Damaging our society for short term political gain can only retard the aspirations of future black presidential candidates. The Left would be well advised to stop blaming America because they are not helping their candidate's prospects - or themselves.'

You nailed it spot on.

Another thing the Left would be well advised to do is stop engaging in Identity Politics, censorship of true diversity - of thought on college and University campuses, damning minorities and women who don't share their ideological point of view... and just let Americans be Americans, period.

It is naive to think that racial sentiments will not play a major role in the upcoming election.
Yep. Everyone's afraid to admit it but even without Sarah Palin, race would be the deciding factor.

That's true. In a free society we have the right to our own point of view and that doesn't make us inauthentic because we don't subscribe to the identity politics view of what an ideal American should be - a leftist. We should be Americans and let us be judged on the merits as individuals and not because we happen to belong to a particular group in our society.

Likewise, if Palin is not elected VP, then America is sexist and wait for women hell to break loose upon America.......?

Just ignore the liberals and their warnings. Why even bring up such ridiculous stuff? It’s just giving them space for their threats.

I hope this country has more backbone than to roll over to such threatening by liberals.

To many of these largely white progressives it isn't really about race at all although that's a convenient excuse. It's about class. They identify themselves much more strictly as a separate class than do their counterparts on the right, and Obama is very definitely One Of Us to them: educated, urban, and possessed of all the fashionable opinions with respect to social progress and international political alignment. He is, as he has stated himself, a tabula rasa on which a number of political idealists project their most precious fantasies. He has already disappointed the most radical and should he win, will inevitably disappoint them all by having to serve in the real-world office and turning out to be incapable of redesigning the entire country by snapping his fingers. Progressive magic is no better than any other kind; all that it really leaves the true believer is a hangover and a carpet full of chicken bones. But they're still in a full, roaring, chanting, fire-dancing drunk and the hangover is months ahead. It can't be easy riding that beast knowing its collapse is inevitable.

In any case it is a little difficult to credit the weird illusion that Obama is the only black person ever to participate in politics at a national level. That strikes me as terribly demeaning to the ones who led the way. That he is the only chance for redemption, the only shining light, and that his rejection will mean that the country is plunging back into the 18th century with respect to race relations. He's just another candidate. And the true state of race relations in this country is that he may be regarded as just another candidate. Nobody seems to have noticed that.

What will stop Obama isn't racism, but a cross-the-aisle rejection of the wild unreason with which he has been promoted. And the self-identified class that holds most of his radical supporters won't like it.

I hear no one saying women will be disadvantaged and oppressed should the ticket with a woman on it lose the 2008 election. I wonder why.

REASONS I CANNOT VOTE FOR OBAMA:

1. WM. AYERS-OBAMA OBVIOUSLY LIED ABOUT HIS association with this terrorist who hates America and still wants to destroy it 40 years after he started the Weathermen and they bombed the Pentagon. Obama's political career started in Ayer's home; they sat on boards of 2 orgn(at least 2) together.

2. His obvious disdain for America as he stood on the platform with Hillary and others who had their hands over their heart for the pledge and he folded is hands in front of him. That is who he is.

His vote on non treatment for babies living through abortion.

i could go on about his socialist/communist mindset; his rantings in "Dreams of my Father", his training work with ACORN; his donations from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Hey MSM, I can't even find race in this mess; I can't even see it for the other glaring facts.

So, if I don't vote for a person I don't agree with, I'm racist.

I am so sick of this crap.

The rumor I heard is that the blacks are going to riot against Obama. Since Obama is only half African American he was really more white than he was black since he is not a direct discendent of slaves but is a discendent of slave owners.

It has been said that President Bush was so angry with Democrats that he helped Obama infiltrate the Democratic party and beat out Hilary and her husband the first black president.

I haven’t beem able to verify that this is all President Bush’s fault but since he has the power to create hurricanes, make large corporations insolvent as well as cause 9-11 I am sure he has the power to do what is rumored.
