I don't think I saw this wide of a poll spread at any moment in time during the 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns. Seems like everyone is guessing at what having Obama in this election really means.

I do think that some of the crazy poll spreads at times between even some of the more "respected" pollsters should give us some hope that this is a difficult election for them to get consistent data. If McCain can close things up for real then who knows what can happen.

What do you mean by motivation? This is a poll that’s used on realclearpolitics in it’s superpoll average...I posted like many others have...if you don’t want to deal with it don’t...

Are we really supposed to believe that Obama picked up 10 points in five days.

Yes, he's ahead but I'm done believing he's ahead by more than 6 until I see the internals.

No election in a generation has had a spread of more than plus-four for the Dems and Rasmussen is plus 5.5 and that's only a 5 point race.

Plus, this is the pattern. IBD releases a poll showing Obama only up 2 and then down comes a flood of demoralizing polls. It happens every time and has since the 2000 race.

And watch the MSM no doubt report incessantly on this poll when they’ve never mentioned it before.

WHY IS IT SO DAMN HARD TO BELIEVE MCCAIN IS LOSING?

McCain is running a horrible campaign. The worst we have ever seen. Even Kristol is saying he is in serious trouble. There is no benefit to prancing around denying the GOP is in trouble everywhere in this election. It just makes posters here look divorced from reality.

We need the undecideds if we are going to win this election. I just have a bad feeling we're going to lose them thanks to the liberal's nonstop propaganda machine.

I definitely agree with this concern. Of course, I am an Obama supporter (just ask any Freeper who hates reading my posts and they will tell you), so what do I know?

you’re smart...you know, an ostrich with its head in the sand kind of smart...

When did this forum become a place to launch ad hominems at people? Hmm? For crying out loud, you’re insulting me not even for my opinion but for posting a poll that’s used on realclearpolitics...

Maybe you should say why you don’t believe it (like many of us) instead of attacking me with your drivel...

That is what they say every election.....the young are voting in droves....it never happens, they are too busy partying or sleeping it off. I doubt seriously they will be any significant bump in the youth vote this election.

James Carville said (paraphrased) that there’s a word political consultants use to describe candidates who depend on the youth vote. That word is “losers”.

Let’s see how many Obamaphiles can actually tear themselves away from taking bong hits long enough to vote.

I hope IBD shows the race tied or even McCain up when their new poll comes out. Because it’s a 6-day rolling tracking poll, so much of their polling was taken while the market was still tanking, so if that’s the case, the IBD poll may actually have McCain up in the next day or so, but then again, with the influence of the bogus polls like this one, it could go the other way. Sigh.

The strategy is to kick up the polls for O after all this dirt comes out to show that "negative campaigning" is having the opposite effect and therefore McCain should stop. Its a trick to try and get the McCain campaign to stop the very effective tactics of showing Americans that bambi is a chicago thug commie fraud. They are scared it is working and doing all they can to end it.

The way I figure it, we might as well kick it into overdrive with the truth-telling about 0bama regardless. If we really ARE this far behind (which we're NOT, btw, but I'm merely speaking hypothetically) then we have nothing to lose. If this is just leftist poll-blizzarding to discourage McCain and his supporters, then let's not let it happen, but let's get serious about getting the info into the hands of the undecideds - by any means necessary!

If Obambi wins by 13 points, my participation in American Politics is finished.

I won't spend my hard earned money on wasted efforts any longer, simply accept socialism and bide my time until my euthanasia appointment.

If Republicans can't garner any more support than that against a never-done-anything opponent, they don't deserve any more support.

The Obama lefty running this poll intentionally manipulated this tracking poll about four weeks ago.
Who knows how many more times she has twisted the
formula to suit her Obama agenda.
its useless now. now .http://www.pollster.com/blogs/battleground_drops_party_weigh.php
Ignore it.

There is a PUMA call out to tell them you are voting for Obama if they poll you. That is what I will do if polled.
