I sure hope so. All these felons, dead people, teenagers, children, dogs, cats and cartoon characters voting for Obama in swing states worry me...

Ahhh, but Powell now maintains that he opposed the war in secret. You see, he argued endlessly with Bush across a conference table somewhere deep within the Shadow World, to no avail. That was his sense of duty and honor lying to the U.N., not his true conscience.
Plus, he hates Rummy and Cheney. And he knew a foreign occupying force would strike civil war, though he apparently didn’t consider whether a troop surge could help the situtation.

Thanks. Odd, tho, that different polls have such divergent results. Several show O + 10 - not good. State polls show a different picture. Do state polls lead National or do national lead state?
I do think there are bragging rights the day after, and these organizations market their services for pay.
I'm a hopeful person myself, but I hold no illusions that Obama will move to the center. His whole history (that he himself won't reveal, but has been gleaned from his past comments) is one of Marxist leanings. Do you really want half, or more, of what you earn or create on your own, through your own efforts to support those who do not have the same goals?
There are enough programs in place to help people who are trying to assimilate and billions of dollars spent on our education system to help people get out of poverty. Are they starving as they would be from their country of origin? Are they dying from lack of medical care?
The "rich", us middle-class people are eating Hormel Chili. I just committed to $20.00 for the Breast Cancer Society when I'm barely getting by.
Obama will eliminate my ability to give twenty bucks because he will eliminate the tax cuts and severely cut our limited income.

Zogby wasn’t at 2% two days ago. I believe he showed a 6% race at that time.
Well, if you look at the polls from 4 years ago you might be surprised. Sure, there was the one poll that had Kerry slightly ahead (tied within MoE) but overwhelmingly it showed Bush ahead in all the polls.

The problem here is that we know a few things for a fact:
1. We are going to lose big when it comes to the Senate and House. Republican analysts have already written off 7 (perhaps more) Senate seats and are trying to avoid losing the filibuster proof majority. This year is a repeat of 2006.
2. The Republican party is unjustly being blamed by the American people for the economic crisis.
3. Obama has a large money advantage, which aside from being able to place more ads in important states also reflects on the ability to build massive organization in individual states, particularly in the GOTV arena.
#1 is going to make Nov. 4 a somber night, even if McCain somehow pulls it off. #2 is the biggest factor, and that false perception needs to be turned around in a hurry, or else those people “making ends meet and taking care of their kids” will actually come out voting against us, not with us. We can only hope that enthusiasm on election day will be so strong for the McCain/Palin ticket that it makes up for the organizational disadvantage, but for that to happen the perception in #2 amongst the average voter has to be completely turned around first.
