Zogby is pro-Muslim. His brother James Zogby is president of the Arab American Institute. He has always cooked the numbers for the Democrat, but it got worse after 9/11.
I imagine he was trying to look credible, and has decided this was the time to make the propaganda move. Or was instructed to by Obama.
It’s the old: Obama wins the mythical popular vote but loses the election set up.

Friend Zogby Fixing the Polls?
Every time we think we are done writing about Barack Obama and his questionable supporters and friends, someone else with questionable views emerges.

James (Jim) Zogby is founder of the Arab American Institute and also writes for Huffington Post. He recently penned an op-ed in the Florida Times Union entitled Israel Must Treat Americans Fairly, critical of Israel’s treatment of Arab Americans traveling through Israel. In response, the Times Union published Israel Must be Treated Fairly which shed some light on Zogby:

Zogby’s Arab American Institute election web page (screen shot included in case it disappears) includes the transcript of a 2007 address to AAI by Barack Obama, who begins by stating:
“Hello, everyone. Let me begin by congratulating your president and my good friend, Jim Zogby, for his work in putting together this conference. It’s an honor to have his support.”
Interesting choice of words from Obama for a man who supports Hamas and Hizbollah, potentially funded Palestinian terrorists, founded the propaganda wing of the PLO, and called on Arab nations to reinvigorate a boycott of Israel, among other questionable activities.
In “Stopping the Saudis“, Alex Alexiev reported this about Zogby’s organization:
“…according to the Arab News (a Saudi government-controlled newspaper), the World Assembly of Muslim Youth — which was incorporated in the U.S. by Osama bin Laden’s brother Abdullah bin Laden — announced last June that it will “take up the cases” of 13,000 Muslim illegal aliens slated for deportation, together with the Arab American Institute, an American non-profit organization (and the recipient of $300,000 from Saudi prince Alwaleed ibn Talal...”
Even some Shia Muslims in the U.S. reject Zogby’s relationship with WAMY and it appears they’ve been outlawed in the U.S. Yet apparently this is not enough for Obama to denounce his “good friend” Zogby and AAI’s support. James Zogby is the brother of John Zogby, President and Chief Executive Officer of Zogby International. Brother Jim is also a senior analyst for the company widely recognized for its Zogby Polls. Did you catch that? The founder of pro-Palestinian organizations is a senior analyst at a leading polling organization in the U.S. Could any of James anti-American, pro-Arab bias be reflected in his poll results?

Yeah with the Powell Endorsement...Wait a couple more days for this BIDEN GAFFE to settle into peoples minds, hopefully the polls will go downward....
Zogby is a little different than the others, but the trend away from McCain is strong.
He hasn't been a very good candidate. The GOP establishment and the elitist "conservative" commentators are going to try to stick SP with the blame.
