Obama Birth Certificate Suit Reach Hawaiian Supreme Court

Brain Cherry, The New Media Journal

The question regarding Barack Obama’s eligibility to run for President based on questions regarding his status as natural born United States citizen has reached the Hawaiian Supreme Court. Illinois journalist and Democrat politician, Andy Martin, has asked the Hawaiian Supreme Court to entertain an emergency writ expediting the release of Senator Barack Obama’s birth records.

For months there has been speculation about Barack’s birth status among other issues associated with his birth certificate. This has been helped along by the campaign’s reluctance to produce uncontestable records of the Senators birth and status as a natural born citizen of the United States. When the Obama campaign did release a scan of Obama’s birth certificate its noticeable lack of an embossed seal among other inconsistencies with proper Hawaiian birth certificates simply fueled the speculation of critics.

The Hawaiian Supreme Court now has the opportunity to answer these questions once and for all.

There has been no shortage of theater surrounding Andy Martin’s actions at the Supreme Court. In the same week that the request was made by Mr. Martin, Associate Justice Steven Levinson announced his surprise retirement from state’s highest court. While he explained his actions by saying that his “batteries needed recharging”, court watchers are theorizing on the significance of the move and what it may be telegraphing in regards to the Martin request to open Barack’s birth records. Justice Levinson will be serving until the end of the year.

Presidential candidate Barack Obama has also indirectly interjected himself into the situation. During the same week that Mr. Martin’s request was made to the Hawaiian Supreme court, Barack is suspending his campaign for a few days in order to visit his sick grandmother in Hawaii. Unnamed sources claim that he is bringing along a team of lawyers on this visit to an ailing relative. The Obama campaign has not yet answered our query regarding whether Barack has brought a legal team with him to Hawaii.

A decision by the Hawaiian Supreme Court is expected before the election. We will report on that decision when the high court makes its ruling.

They didn’t get security clearances with their dual citizenship. I know for a fact we don’t do that now.

From what I understand, Indonesian law does not allow dual citizenship. You must revoke your previous.

And US law doesn't allow anyone under 18 to renounce their citizenship. That this contradicts Indonesian law doesn't mean squat to US law.

No, no, I agree with you and believe that Article II of the US Constitution very clearly means that a President CANNOT have divided allegiences. That means NO DUAL CITIZENSHIPS IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

I think the real issue is that Indonesia didn’t allow dual citizenship at that time so he would have to relinquish his U. S. citizenship.

If he relinquished citizenship he would had to have been repatriated, which he most likely did not do.

Yes, but a minor CANNOT revoke his own citizenship.

More to the point, what passport did a 20 year old ADULT Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro use to travel to Pakistan in 1981, when it was closed to Americans and non-muslims?

If AS AN ADULT he traveled under an Indonesian passport as an Indonesian citizen, he would have AS AN ADULT had to acknowledge that he was an Indonesian citizen ONLY.

How's this for a scenario:

Just days before the election, the courts declare Obama ineligible because he is not a natural born U.S. citizen.

The Democrats meet in emergency session and nominate Hillary for President.

She accepts--"for the good of the people."

Moderates and Undecideds are so relieved that Obama's out of the picture that they vote for Hillary. Republicans are so relieved that they don't utter a peep of protest.

Hillary sails into the White House to great applause--and the thanks of a grateful and relieved nation.

(Do you suppose this could be the Clintons' Great October Hurrah?)

(Maybe they're behind all this. They are lawyers, after all.)

(What am I saying??? I shouldn't be giving these people ideas!)

Yeah. See post #29. He renounced his American citizenship as an adult.

I don’t think that’s right. The US is one of a few countries that does not allow dual citizenships.

Not quite that easy, Obama is on all ballots. It would have to be a write in campaign.

I don’t know that she can just automatically be put on the ballot since the nomination process already took place.

I guess that is why the Demoncats should vet their own candidates.

Too f*&^ing bad for them.

My service was way back 1980 - 1986, as a linguist in NAVSECGRU.

The Syrian was in the Air Force and his entire family, Christians, had been slaughtered with he the only survivor. He came here as a child to live with relatives. No family was left in Syria.

The other three were all Jewish with US/Israeli dual citizendships.

Sorry, but the US Constitution does not forbid dual citizenship

The Constitution requires a person to be a natural-born citizen in order to be eligible to run for president.

Citizenship is not the issue here.

Any FReeper lawyers know at what point does a “Class Action Lawsuit” begin? I’d venture to guess that there a millions of people who’d join the class.

Maybe this doesn’t have anything to do with “where” he was born. Maybe it’s “what”.

Maybe Barry was born “Barbara”, and that’s the embarrassment...

Yes, but a minor CANNOT revoke his own citizenship.

Three things. 1. He didn't have to revoke it. If he was allowed to be adopted by an Indonesian citizen by his custodial parent and Indonesian law did not accept dual citizenship, he automatically lost it when he became that man's adopted son. 2. If his custodial parent moved to Indonesia and married an Indonesian citizen and by this became an Indonesian citizen, then the citizenship of her minor child follows her change in citizenship. 3. Even if Barry tried to regain his U.S. citizenship, it would only be as a naturalized citizen (assuming he had not really been born in Kenya).
