As all on this thread have noted, you are the sole person calling names. My comment merely acknowledged what you revealed of yourself.

you are the sole person calling names....Its to be expected for a liberal city boy to run for the cover of bureaucrasy to fight his foolish battles, .

I believe that both of these statements are yours. One would seem to contradict the other.

Seattle-based Attachmate, made a $495 million acquisition in 2006.

Melissa Liton, spokeswoman for Attachmate, said Hawn is still the chairman, chief executive officer and president of the company.

Attachmate is a software company that was “founded more than 24 years ago and now serves over 65,000 customers, with accounts in nearly all the Global 10,000 enterprises,”

According to a July 5, 2006, article in the Puget Sound Business Journal, Attachmate had recently completed a $495 million acquisition of NetIQ Corp., a computer security software maker with its operations centered in Houston. NetIQ had been publicly traded prior to its acquisition.

Prior to that acquisition, Attachmate had been doing business as Attachmate WRQ, which was formed in 2005 with the merger of two of the largest software companies in Washington state - Attachmate Corp. and WRQ Inc., according to the article.

It said that the privately held company was owned by “an investment group that includes Thoma Cressey Equity Partners, Golden Gate Partners and Francisco Partners.”

In a June 2, 2005, Puget Sound Business Journal article, Hawn was quoted as saying that the combined revenue of Attachmate and WRQ would be more than $200 million a year.

Mr. Hawn serves as an active member on several boards, including Applimation, Pervasive Software and Vignette.

Wealthy guy who bought his way out of a jamb. But one count is a felony. So has he handed his high dollar over-unders and custom rifles over to the sheriff yet?

I hope Hawn buys a couple hundred Bison and turns them loose on the “rancher's” land and then sits back and laughs as they destroy his place.

On Nov. 3, Hawn, an Austin, Texas, businessman, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief and one count of cruelty to animals. He agreed to pay more than $157,000 in restitution, including $83,362 to Downare and $70,000 to seven charitable organizations which care for animals.

He also agreed to pay $4,007 to the Park County Sheriff’s Office.

Hawn, 44, will be sentenced on Jan. 28 and could receive up to 10 days in jail as a condition of probation.

Among the animals slaughtered were three big trophy bulls, worth $4,000 each, and one yearling bull.

10 days in jail? Ten years would be about right for this scofflaw.

Dude, for decades I commuted up and down 81 to JMU in the Shenandoah valley and there was a guy who had a herd of Bison fenced in a field alongside the highway. Never heard of them getting out off the top of my head either...

If this “high roller” actually does 10 days, I will find some satisfaction. I may be going to “hunt” these buffalo pretty soon for some freezer meat. With the owners permission, of course. You ever had buffler hump?

I’d like to see him get the ten days but he probably won’t.

One other thing that I haven’t seen written about is that it seems he still owns his ranch. I wonder just how much cooperation he’s going to get from the people that live in the area or county officials as far as that goes, I believe he’ll be a very unwelcome person in that part of the country.

Hawn is trying to complete his community service before the hearing to get a favorable ruling from the Judge.

Hopefully, he stays in Austin or San Fran from now on.

He never reached out to the locals near his gentleman’s ranch.
