The fact that there were children and women in front of the demonstration was to show that this would be a peaceful march. However there was not any focus on how all the children were dressed in bloodstained t-schirts and paraded around. It was so disgusting to watch.

Papers here in the USA are right on the heels of those newspapers in Norway. It's only a matter of time before they catch up - - they are already way ahead in the anti-America category. They are dancing around the edges of being anti-Israeli. Of course, I pray every day that the dinosaur media here will soon die off. I would love to see everybody associated with the Democrat newsrooms lose their jobs, lose their homes, and lose their families.

Boomers (Eye our won, two) have wrecked Western Civilization's institutions, great and minor. The press, the academy, the church, the family, the courts, the arts. The military (in the U.S.) seems to be one of the few that have somewhat withstood the assault, but even it is in the crosshairs today.

Pick up a copy of Readers' Digest from the fifties at a yard sale. It wasn't Pollyannaish, it was more sophisticated than the popular press today, by far, more witty, insightful, interesting, provocative. It is painful to compare Scientific American in 1960 to 2009. The New York Times tended towards Nelson Rockefeller liberalism, but it was pretty balanced, and intelligently written. Today it often reads like a parody of a high school newspaper. Think Maureen Dowd.

Oh, I know how the New York Times reads today. I've read many of their fiction pieces, covering a variety of topics.

We don't have garage sales where I live, but one of these days, maybe I'll find an old copy of Reader's Digest. I remember my grandmother having many of their condensed story collections when she was alive that I would peruse when I visited as a kid.

Dad (retired 28-year Navy vet) told me that when he was at the Pentagon in the early 70s, there was a paper put out entitled "How to Read the Washington Post." It gave instructions on how to glean the morsel of truth through all of the liberal editorializing. That was about the time I started reading the newspaper, so I don't remember a time it didn't have a strong left slant.
