I hate it when you have to explain the obvious. It is not Steele alone, it is the ones who share his liberal opinions on some of the most important issues.

It is my understanding that Steele is a RINO. Anybody want to chime in here?

Conservatives at the RNC? If they are conservative they are also the most incompetent group of people I have witnessed when it comes to campaigns. How about Voter Vault who still has my son listed at his fraternity address from 5 years ago. I personally don’t care if they are conservative, moderate, or liberal when they are incompetent and waste donation dollars.

First thing I wanted was for Steele to clean house from top to bottom. Too many college kids were hired that would come into the states with their attitude to tell long time activists how to run campaigns. It was beyond ridiculous. They could probably run the place with 1/2 the staff if they hired competent, experienced people.

I am 100% in favor of this.

Steele just better start kissing a certain Governor from Alaska’s backside. She is the new face of the Republican party. She is who will raise money for the Repubs over the next four years. And if he doesn’t like her, he darn well better start pretending he does!

"One has to wonder if it isn’t the conservatives being ousted by Steele."

No! One has to wonder if there was even one conservative at the RNC.

Remains to be seen whether this is a purge on ideological grounds, or of those simply seen as sucking at winning elections, or a customary housecleaning when a new chairman comes in, so he can put in his own people. I’m going to support individual candidates I’ve examined, not contribute to the RNC given that Steele supports affirmative action, is squishy on abortion and gun control, and aims to promote squishes in the Republican Party.

Oh they ought to care. The last thing that the democrats ought to want is that the incompetent loons on the RNC be replaced.

I guess I should have asked why they would call for resignations from a Republican organization?

They did fine against them in the recent past.

Who are you referring to? And if it’s all just a matter of skin-color that they’re interested in how about getting them to get Sowell?

As a former county level Republican Committee executive member I say this...

Voter Vault was the most wasteful an least helpful tool ever produced by RNC. It was quickly compromised by the Dems and they messed the system up bad. Yet, the RNC still pushes the stupid thing and refuses to address the corrupted information inside.

Just Damn. Change is coming. We will see if it is good.

That's the trouble with BS, and speaking in generalities. Like the change from "global warming" to climate change: it becomes meaningless.

Would you believe that millions still can't grasp the possibility that mindless change can be bad?

Wait. Bush and congressional Republicans screw things up, and it’s the poor RNC staff who lose their jobs?

Sorry. The assistant director of communications and campus coordinator aren’t the guys who betrayed faith.

If Steele is going to pander to the illegal alien and pro-amnesty types, as he has hinted, he might as well close up shop.

For me it won't matter one way or the other. I have been a registered Democrat all my life and haven't voted Democrat since 1960...

Since I am now convinced that BS rules in government and in the political arena, voting third party, should one emerge, would not bother me a bit. What could (literally) be worse than the latest 2008 fiasco? And the Government of the criminals, by the criminals for the criminals is the 2009 norm?

I think we are playing games with an ambiguous referent. Presumably Obama's people asked for resignations from the DNC. It is actually usual.

So who is leaving conservatives or RINOs?

Yes.

When he asks for everyone's resignation, that's cleaning house. The big question is, who's coming in?

For the last eight years we've been screaming, "Quit spending money we don't have! Quit increasing regulations! Protect our borders!" The first words out of his mouth after getting the position are "We have to reach out to gays and the pro-abortion people." I'm not hopeful, but I'll hold judgement until I find out who's coming in. If McCain, Specter, and Graham are insiders, it's the same old same old. If Sarah is an insider, we're revving up the engine.

“Just Damn. Change is coming. We will see if it is good.”

Given how worthless the RNC has been over the last 4 to 6 years, it can’t be bad!
