The strategy is called WINNING. It may (and probably will) take more than military, but unless the o is going to listen to the brass who want to win, we will be sooooooooooo screwed.
I guess with the Iraq war essentially and irretrievable won, Zero and the dems must concentrate on finding a way to surrender in Afghanistan.
The taliban has established a stronghold in Paki near the Afghan border.
I'm not a military strategist, but I don't see what victry looks like.
Do we have to double or triple our numbers, use more powerful weapons, take over part of Pakistan?
Who has the strategy and are we up for it?
When we went in we had 9/11 and the videos of the woman being shot in the stadium. We changed the government and it controls a lot of the country.
I thought when we went to the mountains it was to kill OS.
Now what's the goal? Kill all the Taliban?

The goal would be to turn it over to the Afghan Army, which is fairly well respected and tends to fight well when trained and armed.
And what needs to happen before we can do that?
You would need to hold and secure the areas for a while, and train the Army (which is ongoing).
We used to get reports occasionally about the status of the Iraqi police and troops. Don't see any of that from Afghan.

When I was in Afghanistan in 2007, what I heard was that the Army was brave, but under-trained and ill equipped. The police were just corrupt all the way thru...
