But people looking down from recently built high-rises in Mecca found the niches in many older mosques were not pointing directly towards the Kaaba.
The answer is obvious. The high rise buildings are at fault and must come down.

You know, I don't want to cause these peoples any more concern, because this is a gut-wrenching issue of whether the niches are properly aligned and all, but....
Some scholars (the non-Muslim types who are either dead or live in fear of decapitation) have serious questions about Mecca being Mo's digs. In fact, they think the town was something called Moka, in the area of the city of Petra in present day Jordan.
So, just saying, the "misalignment" might be the real alignment, and the House of Saud is like, doing a Disney World tourist thing.
(I have to go into hiding now.)
