Yes there are many dealerships in the Houston metro area that’s for sure. Landmark went out of business and their vehicles were being liquidated. The guy in charge of the liquidation process told me they had over 1100 vehicles to handle.
present engines and power trains
yep, good points, and they also are reliable and the best technology in the world for transportation
Too bad autos are a depreciating asset. I hear the dealer auctions are dumping new cars.
Automation technician, electrician, mechanic, employed.
Quality used cars are hard to find at reasonable prices at the auctions. Depending upon make/model some are selling at prices approaching retail. The other major factor today is that it’s hard to finance buyers even those with good credit. Recently the best buys have been in the new car market where you can get substantial discounts and 0% for 72 months.
That old 300 straight 6 was a great engine. Drove a couple of F-100's with that engine. Gobs of low-end torque (though it wouldn't rev much). The things ran forever and they ran well.

Glad for the last part. We keep all of our cars for a long time too but eventually they get so yukky I like to have a new car. Someday I’d like to have a Mercedes or something like that but it’ll probably never happen. My husband likes Corvettes from a certain period and he likes the old Mustangs. I like Corvairs too even though they’re supposed to be dangerous.
