...but wait, Colin Powell said Americans want to pay more in taxes and want more government in their lives.

I was and still am attracted to the Reagan message. If the GOP wants me back, they have to come and get me.

(see tagline)

You know what, that's great and all but...

“Independent voters believed Candidate Obama when he said he would be mainstream. Their trusting votes gave him a narrow victory,”

Anyone that was stupid enough to think that the most left-wing member of the Senate would govern from the middle is a moron. He didnt even claim that he would. They projected their "Hope" that he wouldn't be the Marxist that he said he would be once he got to the highest office in the land. How stupid do you have to be?

to be fair, I 100% agree with their stance on smaller government and the fact that the Republicans have sold us out, but I mean geeze, how stupid did you have to be to not see that he was going to socialize the country.

Yep. We (the GOP) dropped the ball big time. Whenever we pander and reach across the isle, we get our posteriors handed to us by the Left and the media. We need to run a conservative candidate and let the chips fall where they may (which, I believe, is in the winner's column).

This will require replacing National GOP leadership with strong conservatives that will tell the public... "here's the menu. Pick something you like or go somewhere else. We ain't changin' the cookin'"

Republicans spent 14 years fattening government with their ever-escalating budgets.

Yep.

He and the MSM baffled them all with BS and now we have at least 2 and possibly 4 to 8 years of this.

They may not be “buying it” but I’ll bet you dollars to donuts that they’ll vote for the socialist again in 2012.
