I myself only yesterday reread my about page here at FR. I haven't altered it since September 2, 2001, except for an explanatory six word "so Cincinatus' incarnations do not count."
I warned then of dangers that could happen and have since happened. And I further warned what could lead up to an American coup. This was why I chose my FReepname.
In my opinion, we are living through a period that parallels the Roman republic's ruin by Marius. Thus, two additions I would add to my about page is that GWBush was Marius shallow and uhBama is Marius deep. Many of you know who Marius was; others of you should Google him now.
The populist/socialist Marius, seven times Consul of the rapidly decaying Republic, among other disastrous "reforms," HEAVILY increased social handouts and extended Roman citizenship to the Latins of Italy. Some coincidence that, huh?
If readers of The Savage Nation understand much of the historical references Dr. Savage often speak of, I suspect you'll understand quite easily how remarkable is what I wrote all those years ago, and how alarmed we should be over our "Marian" period.
Now really, I am no great sage, nor even that good of a history student. But when patterns of this sort repeat so obviously and shamelessly, that we witness Inspector Generals being sacked at whim while great sums of money buy so much revenue earmarked for who-knows-whom, is it not time more stand up and discuss it? Why not speak to all who will listen -- and loudly -- about how much current events follows the pattern which thoroughly converted the most successful republic of its time into the largest empire in the world?
I think the cowards in our globalist dreaming establishment can be shaken to bring about a constitutional republican end to this immense power grab.
Simply judging from what happened to Rome, that threat behooves us to find some way other than a dictatorial response to this madness. I hope some of you live to find it. With due deferrence to God, you may.

I remember them well, they virtually owned the MSM in those days also; especially TV "news" after 1968.
The rabble took over the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party in the 1970s and now it's the Rat Party and they are now "The Establishment," at least it seems that way.
