These things happen. It was probably more common back during the days of returnable bottles. People dropped all sorts of things into empty soft drink bottles and the bottlers cleaning routine had to remove the junk.
A woman once found a mouse in a Coke bottle before the days of law suit hysteria. I once found a big, kitchen match in an orange drink bottle - before I opened the bottle.

And she had MADE IT ALL UP..?There was the woman a couple of years ago who "found" the severed finger of a co-worker in her Wendy's Chili.

He doesn’t need an attorney, he needs to stop stuffing frogs into Pepsi cans, just because they look like 0bambi symbols. That in itself should have made him gag.

Local Florida news has been all over this today. You see, they originally thought it was a mouse and the tone of the reports has been "whew, it's not a mouse after all; it's a frog or other amphibian." As if that will be of relief to the hapless thirsty victim.
Oh, and the tease for the 11 PM newscast has been guess how much this will cost Pepsi.

We found a book of matches in a (Canadian) bottle of beer. (when we were visiting BC for the summer). We wrote a funny letter about having to ‘candle’ the bottles in the future. They must have liked it because they sent a rep out with a case of beer.

It might just be part of a new “going green” campaign or something. Sometimes, it isn’t easy being “green”. Especially when you’re gagging your guts out.
