AALRP (American Association of Liberal Retired Persons) is running a TV ad with DemonKat talking point lies about what’s in the DeathCare bill.

All they do is lie.

I have no idea why any conservative or even Republican ever was a member of this organization. I never even considered joining. I thought it was common knowledge that they were a Democrat front organization, but apparently not.

It may be Republican but I wouldn’t call the area conservative. A lot of older professionals around here are moderate to liberal. That wishy washy kind of issues voter with no ideologic base. Your typical fed, which quite a few of them are. Enough will swing right to castrate obama and the libs in 2010, but they will vote for other socialists down the road. They have on compass. I had moved to VA from MD to escape them, but there is no escape.

I don’t think it is common knowledge about AARP being so politically biased. My elderly parents have been members for years and I have mentioned in the past that I was not going to be joining and told them why. I got a blank stare.I don’t think they believed me.

However now they want to cut up their AARP card and mail it back. They have already paid two year’s worth of membership dues. They also bought insurance with Humana through AARP and are afraid that if they do they will lose their insurance. I told them I didn’t know.

Dump AARP immediately and ask for a refund if you have a membership.

I did too!

I’m 49, my wife 50. She’s already getting the propaganda. Heck, we are no where near ready to retire or consider ourselves “seniors.” I just played floor hockey Sunday night with a bunch of high school kids at church! I don’t need no stinkin’ AARP!

They want to lure all of us onto their collective farm, take our money and use it to promote causes that will enslave us. Like I said before; I don’t need to stinkin’ AARP!

AARP continues to LIE.

Yes, LIE.

This is not misdirection, ignorance or obfuscation.

They are deliberately LYING to their members.

Only their leadership knows why, but I am very angry about this.

They keep their insurance with Humana if they cancel their AARP membership. AARP's unelected executive leadership are just the brokers who make a handsome profit by exploiting their phony image & serving as a middleman to gouge seniors.

But it would be extremely helpful if you wrote a letter to AARP anyway asking whether or not your elderly parents who have purchased coverage through them can cancel their AARP membership & still stay covered. These scamsters need to know that their future business as profiteering insurance middlemen is now in extreme jeopardy because of this bogus organization's fraudulent misrepresentation of their crooked agenda.

AARP has a direct conflict of interest in this issue - the unelected board of directors of AARP stand to make some tidy profits if AARP's senior 'members' get screwed when the DNC/Obama administration seize control of the medical insurance industry. The only "myth" in today's healthcare debate is that the AARP is a nonpartisan advocacy group working to protect the welfare of seniors citizens.

It's up to all of us to make sure that every older person we know & care about understands the truth about AARP's anti-senior agenda, because the State Run Media is surely not going to expose the truth about this group of greedy con artists masquerading as advocates for the elderly.

On FOX NEWS at that!

I'm always amused whenever I hear Rush and Hannity shill for Government Motors.

I just called to cancel and was told my Dental policy is dependent on my continuing AARP membership. Verified that with Delta Dental. Glad my medical isn't linked.

Thanks for that update. Conservative granny, you better check on Humana - I don’t know for sure then. We checked on a policy of my Mom’s & it was ok - but it could be the particular coverage she had.

Does Rush still hawk GM vehicles? That’s a shame.

In almost the same breath he takes to condemn socialism.

I am going to contact both Humana and AARP and see what they say. I would definately get something in writing from them both before having my parents cancel their membership. Thanks for the advice from all.
