Joe is my congressman, and the local news Monday night was showing protesters from MoveOn outside his office. They did say that the protesters were from the national organization. The protesters were on the sidewalk in front of Joe’s office, and there was a policeman in the parking lot behind them. It looked like there were maybe 20 protesters. There’s video at the link.

Rep. James Clyburn and other black lawmakers are pressuring Pelosi to sanction Wilson for his two word statement. Wilson has apologized to the President. He's done. "I have seen this kind of hate before. I have seen this discussion before," he said. "I have seen snarling dogs going after people who were trying to peacefully assemble. I have seen the eyes of people who were being spat upon."

"This is all about activity trying to deny the establishment of a civil right. And I do believe that health care for all is -- a civil right," the House Majority Whip argued. "And I think that is why you see this kind of activity. This is an attempt on the part of some to deny the establishment of a civil right."

Talk about being petty. Wilson apologized to Obama, and his apology was accepted. He has publicly admitted he was wrong. Yet the Democrats have to push this the last mile in the misbegotten belief that it will make them look what? More civil? More in line with the rules? Less partaisan?
