That statement makes zero sense as a "defense" of the pedofrog. And the irony is, because the charge was leveled by the oh-so-unfashionable National Front, the governmental types in France will simply say, "look at the messenger, it's Le Pen and his jackbooted fascists," and the media will sweep it under the rug. Britain does the same thing with the BNP and the UKIP, and the media tries to do it here with any conservative Republican. Shoot the messenger, ignore the message.

No American politician would admist to sex with a young person or patronizing a prostitute unless he was caught. Most politicians still wouldn’t admit to a homosexual experience, although now there are openly gay politicians.

Obviously different attitudes about sex in France. Don’t know if drugging and sodomizing 13-year-old girls is also OK, or if they thought it was just plain statutory rape.
