This is as pure a test of the "purge the RINOs" movement as there could ever be.

A 100-year GOP seat, an outrageous RINO, and a "real conservative".

Oh, yeah - a RAT, too.

The irony is, in THIS district, the RINOs may control the outcome.

If Hoffman wins, it's huge for Our Lady of Wasilla, and there will be more Hoffmans.

But if Hoffman loses to a RAT, especially if turnout is low, it's really going to deal a blow to the "RINOs need not apply" concept.

What a great test! And not too long to wait.

I’m happy to see Sarah Palin knocked some ense into these jerkss. Now we just need to knockout the corporate elitist in the party and get the government back to serving the people.

However, if it weren’t for Fred, then Palin would not have endorsed him.

Hopefully the GOP jumping onboard will bring in a cash for Hoffman's campaign, you gotta know the dem/libs and soros are maxing out trying to stop the tide.

All our sour notes to the RNC/NRCC/ must have had someone go have a heart to heart with Dede. Its better late than never for the GOP. Its like a talk I had to have with my daughter when she was young and getting too big for her britches, a reminder of WHO I WAS and WHO SHE WAS, worked wonders. Maybe the GOP will learn their lesson too.

Now we just need a little more divine providence in New Jersy too!

They only jumped on the band wagon because their ship was sinking. - Agreed - they need lots more punishment!

Calling Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney...

From what I've read elsewhere, Newter has already officially transferred his former support of Scozzafava to Hoffman.

Romney, on the other hand, will no doubt stick to his "principle" of non-endorsement in such matters, his explanation being that not endorsing anyone "should speak a certain amount of volume." The guy is incapable of straight-shooting; he can only speak in riddles. He has zero principles to guide him -- only tone-deaf sonar to try to ping him to the safest position at any given time.

It is sad and frightening when Republcans confuse this lack of principle with expediency. In truth, the need for such "expediency" marks lack of principle. Romney is a menace and needs to be rejected by the GOP as any kind of candidate.

but Palin’s endorsement set of the firestorm

It was light starting the charcoal, someone had to pour on the lighter fluid, FRED and then Sarah had the match.

More than even Palin or FRED, it was us conservatives supporting Hoffman and beating on the RNC that turned the tide.

God better have some mercy for the dem/libs if this movement is really the tsunami it looks more and more like, because I for one will have give NO QUARTER for those that tried to destroy America.

Somebody send that to Sean Hannity the next time he gets a caller who declares that $150,000 a year defines "rich." Hannity's defense was from a foundation of sand, trying to do the math of the cost of NYC living to show how ridiculous the caller's premise was. But he missed the point entirely.

Coveting and envy aren't considered "sins" for nothing. There's a reason we have a moral obligation to chastize and ostracize those who openly show envy and who openly covet the accomplishments of "the rich." The words "obscene profit" represent a bankrupt sense of morality, and an overblown sense of self-righteousness.

Fred Thompson was one of the first people to bring this to attention. He deserves some thanks.

Typical political hacks and phony’s. Play both ends against the middle and hope to be on the “winning side”, whatever that may be. But by all means DON’T take a principled stand up front. That would be far too dangerous and might OFFEND moderates...you know, the people who only believe what they are TOLD to believe!
